My arms are different sizes.

I measured my arms the other day. My left arm is an inch narrower than my right arm. It actually looks smaller to me (although I realise I may be seeing this because I am looking for it).

I was thinking of only working my left arm for the next cycle. Will this work or will I just end up creating and imbalance somewhere?

Any advice on fixing disproportionate muscles?

yeah i got that too.. my left is half an inch smaller. Just use free weights- Start working out with the left, workout till failure, then do the same amount of reps with your right arm as you did with the left. In time it should catch up.

do more "nervous system" training with larger arm..(practice doing fine movements with it)

the reason for size adaptation is less neuromuscular adaptation and more hypertrophic adaptation..

this is VERY COMMON

do negatives.. this is great for CNS and HYPERTROPHY

Don't do that. That's just asking for further imbalance. My best advice would be to incorporate dumbbells into your routine more heavily than normal. They won't allow one arm to cheat over the other as with barbell movements and in time they will balance out.

:)

blaster, why not tempo (negative training) with db's? keeps the time under tension longer and forces the muscle to adapt, and also causes tissue damage deeper in the muscle. why are you against this method? not a flame, curious.

Hmm, maybe Synthol can even them out? ....NOT! J/K. I
have the same prob with my right arm being larger by about
3/4" than the left. It sucks and U have tried all kinds of crap
to even them out to no avail. :(

I am not against that at all; however, dropping one arm completely to let the other arm 'catch up' is an inane attempt to equal things out. I think incorporating tempo training in with db's is a great idea... karma for you :)

i just remembered a good training routine for lagging body parts, try for 6 weeks, 7 days a week, 50 reps in the am and 50 in the pm with a weight no heavier than 40% of your 1 rep max, like db curls. do it everyday, even on arm day. there is little to no muscle tearing at that weight but a constant flow of blood is brought to the area. it's been guaranteed to work and i've seen it do so. good luck.

blaster, thanks for the karma:D
