As African-American homeschooling parents, one of our primary goals is to provide our children with a Biblical understanding and awareness of who they are and whose they are. Our vision is to instill in them academic excellence and pride in all that God has created them to be.
With those goals in mind, we as parents recognize that the version of American history that is found in traditional historical texts and taught in most academic environments is, in reality, the history of those of European descent. Although the stories are beautiful and moving in and of themselves, there are gaps in the account of people of color--any color. Minus a few brief sketches of the most prominent faces of the era (i.e., Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass), the student of these texts is often left without a complete telling of his own history. Moreover, the contribution of all people in building this great nation is absent. The "Our History, HIS-Story" series was written because of a void, in my opinion, of these types of products in the educational arena (even outside of the homeschooling market).

Landed him out of politics and not to mention his support of Yasser Arafat calling him a brother and kissing him. He certainly does show in statements and actions that he hates Jews.
But, I dont want to get involved in this thread really. Just that Jesse Jackson's history is chockful of abuses and shakedowns and really is a crook. The record is pretty clear. He blames his portrayals in the news on, "Jews in the media" lolol

In 1983 he went to Damascus to win the release of Navy Lieutenant Robert Goodman, whose plane had been shot down by Syrian gunners as he flew over war-torn Lebanon. In 1990 Jackson helped bring home hundreds of people held hostage in Iraq. Each of those times Washington had told him to butt out; it told him the same thing last week as he prepared to negotiate the release of three U.S. soldiers held captive by the Serbs for more than a month. But after much public prayer, a meeting with the prisoners and some very loud "Nos" from no less than Slobodan Milosevic, Jackson brought a dramatic turn to a war that seemed entirely given over to the terrifying monotony of missiles and bombs. On Saturday, Belgrade announced it had decided to release the pows. In exchange for what? Give them, implored Jackson, "a night of peace from bombs."
2. Jesse travels to Damascus to release downed fighter pilot. After wards Jews called it "anti-semite"??? Grandstanding??? Yes it probably was.

Once again it's all perception. If you believe him saving people is grandstanding , then this is your opinion and perception. Saying that saving people in Syria is anti-Israel is also a matter of opinion and perception.
