I think it was just too easy to point out the flaw in your post that while mouthing certain retterick, he goes and rips on Jews off the record to a black reporter. The time frame of our two quotes was the same year.

I didnt have to dig it up either b/c it was big news and is often remembered. Same with Al Sharpton and Tawana Brawley case as clearcut examples of their behavior and moral character.

I mean, there are tons of other examples. Like Jesse Jackson going to Yasser Arafat and calling him brother and kissing him while he was organizing terror attacks on Jews in Israel.
Really, if I was so inclined I could 'dig' up loads of stuff on Jesse Jackson if I cared, but I was only trying to point out the issue of your post and if he was a racist man or not.

when I was in college about a dozen of us in my frat had this great idea to drop one of our difficult day courses and replace it with "Black American History" which was offered at the considerably easier night school.
the course filled one of our history elective requirements
so we had a plan

well we had to do a class presentation on a prominent black history figure
well the blacks in the class as we anticipated did theirs on george washington Carver-Martin-malcom etc

we did ours on obscure black figures which nonetheless were quite successful(e.g W.E.B. Debois) but unknowns within the black community

I would agree that the hymie town comment should have been kept in his head , but since it was publicized without his consent, then he has to deal with it... Louis Farrakhan didn't help his cause either with threats.

As far as it being big news , that is just more conservative posturing. To be honest I think it's speaks volumes how there is more internet propoganda about a hymie town comment then my actually having POW's released... If you wish to latch on to a it , thats' you.

So I think the major flaw in this is your "retterick" as you put it and this so called "clear reocrd" of racism that you have tried to create with only this hymietown incident that he said off record. Also note that he was called "anti-semite" for going to Syria and having the POW released, but I'm sure you didn't take that into account, did you??
