MM...as far as what numbers to expect, it will totally depend on the federation and the gear allowed and also whether you lift as a teen or jr or whatever or in an open class. You should be more than competitive in the SQ and DL with everybody your age/weight......typically, from what I have seen, at least in the open classes, most 198lbers are stacked at that weight because they are usually 5'6-5'9 or so, teens are usually taller and just lift wherever they end up......I think you're going to do well and learn a good deal and have a good experience with it.
 
Hey All! Log update!

I had a good squat day. But my bench is really lacking. I tried for 255x5 today. Only got 3 solid reps. 4th couldnt get up. Spotter made me work for it though. Looks like i got to tweak my bench again. I think its just all the added stress between school/work/training. I got the the gym at 8ish. Not used to that at all. Spirit is down somewhat but its ok. Didnt realize how much i liked having a trainng partner but on the other hand i like being alone. I like conquering the weight w/o a spotter.

Bench:

195x5
225x5
255x3 (Missed 4th rep)

Squat:
175x5
215x5
260x5
300x5
340x5 (Got low, but not my usual depth, still broke parrallel but I KNOW i could have gotten deeper)

Row:
95x5
95x5
105x5
135x5
145x5
165x5

With me training alone leaves little room for error now. I dont want to get crushed squating 350. So mentally ill have to get passed that. I KNOW i can squat it but ill have to mentally get passed it so i dont cut reps.

Ive figured i could train

Mon, Wed, Friday

On Monday ill follow the 5x5 template im still on.

Im going to deadlift on Friday's since i have school early and will be back in the neigborhood at around 5ish. So ill have time to squat/bench/deadlift on friday.

In placed of deads on WEDS im thinking some lift work. Such as partials, but im not sure if they have place in my routine yet....Maybe do some Cleans in place of deadlifts.

Any suggestions?
 
Good morning,

I find working out alone goes by faster but it motivates me with partner, plus I have more confidence to lift more cause I have a spotter, just my 2 cents... to your thoughts this morning :)

You'll grow to enjoy training alone as it's your own battle and your own motivating thoughts... I love it, when I need a spot (only thing I let people spot on is Bench cuz I can't dump the weight if i need to, lol I just ask somebody and tell them "DO NOT touch the bar unless i say to... you WILL know when i want you to spot... I just need you here so I don't die" lol.

Bro... I feel you... it sucks... i've stalled but minus 55 lbs from your bench, lol.

You own the squat rack, you'll goes balls deep next time!
 
MM....I wouldn't do rack pulls in the same week as deads....cleans or BB rows would fit in well on Wed.

Monday - Bench/Squat/Row
Wednesday - Incline Bench/Clean
Friday - Bench/Squat/Dead

On monday i would be going RAW.
On friday i would be using squat/bench suit

I feel my workload lightened up. Maybe its good. I want to focus on the 3 lifts for competition.

I HAVE BULKED UP A BIT. MAYBE 3LBS. Might be some FAT might not be. Abs are somewhat visible. Its gonna be winter soon. Winter i will do my big bulker....

I intend to be a solid 215lbs next summer =] lol
