I think I've been banned. I can't seem to post
Here was my reply:
"Gentlemen, I have been training for performance, not looks. I am looking to gain some mass for exactly the same reason having recently switched sports.
I have been STRENGTH training, following a combination of Westside Barbell and periodization blocks. A 135kg bench press at my weight is NOTHING in strength terms, especially powerlifting. For a bodybuilder at my weight it might be a decent lift, but I haven't ever had those goals ever in my life.
If you want a clue in terms of training, check out
www.elitefts.com, www.t-mag.com especially some of Christian Thibaudeau's stuff, in particular his training blocks upon which my current training is based on. Its also a mix of HST principles too. My split is of the push-pull-legs variety. The rep/set scheme is periodized to allow for progressive resitance while maintaining a suitable amount of volume split across the six days. The frequency is 3x week ala HST. No, you won't find it in Flex or Muscular Development.
I am not doing 10 sets of 20 bicep curls because I don't want pretty biceps. I'm not doing cable flys because I don't need to flex my pecs for anybody. As I stated above in another post, I'm training for mass in pursuit of athletic goals. The exercises I've chosen are the most bang-for-buck out there. I've put on 10kg in the past three months. This type of training works. High frequency, compound exercises, in a periodized schedule. That's where training is going these days. Get with it. Just because I'm not a 100kg monster yet doesn't mean that I don't have a clue.
And if you don't think I can bench press 135kg for a single that's cool, but here is 115kg for an EASY five, back in August:

If that is grounds for having my account disabled, then fuck them.
