I think it totally depends on the circumstances. Often your "first date" is when you have already known each other and talked for a while, so basically it comes down to whether or not you physically want to hook up at that point so why wait? Plus it's often a lot of sexual tension built up so you can hit it hard and often.

If you're out at a bar and meet some skank who you know will basically go home with whatever guy has the balls to talk to her at 2:30am then that's someone you don't bother respecting/dating. But you still hit it.

I don't think it's that clear cut. I wouldn't lose respect for her simply because she gave it up on the first date. For example if you've known her for a while, but never gone out before, it would be different than just meeting her at a bar and taking her home. I've had both situations in my past and ironically the one who made me wait the longest was the worst relationship.

I won’t go on a first date with a girl unless I’ve already had sex with here. Dates are a reward for satisfying me sexually. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very generous with my girls.
