Meditation

I'll go ahead and get it out of the way before 398445 other people say it.

On the Toilet!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha!!!!!!! ;) :D

Carry on....

I usually go to the pet store, buy some frogs and then cook them up... eat them, and then make necklesses out of the bones.

All the time.

There are several forms of meditation you can practice.

I would recommend starting with mantra oriented meditation.

Do some search on Transcendental Meditation, Meditative Breathing and Object focus meditation.

It's something i want to try Pamela, but i just don't have the patience. Hell, i don't even have the patience to sleep. Always so restless, but i know it would do me the world of good.

be careful when meditating not to accidentally channel any spirits though - I don't meditate as I am afraid my fear of psychic phenomena would attract undesirables into my home (as in spirits, not homeless folks or Satanic Goatslayer). I guess this is where the mantra comes in handy.

Some religious people associate meditation with pagan religions and channeling spirits.
You don't see the christian churches teaching meditation. This is unfortunate.
The Bible clearly says "Jesus went into the garden to meditate and pray".
Many preachers will try to tell you that just means prayer.
So, ya mean, Jesus went into the garden to pray and to pray ?
I think not. I believe it means what it says.
They are two different things. There's meditation, and there's prayer.
Two different things, and both have Jesus stamp of approval (if you care about such things).
But what's the difference ?
I'd say the simple answer is:
Prayer is talking to God.
Medititation is listening for the response.

I try to meditate every morning for about 45 minutes.
I roll out of bed early, get the meditation in,
that way it feels like an extention of sleep, so I don't mind getting up early.
At that time in the morning, my mind is already quiet, and the world is quiet,
so much easier to get a good meditiation than after my mind is geared up with work, and the neighbors dog is barking.

Yes, meditation is a great stress reliever. I've read some books on it. I meditate by slowing down my breathing and thinking about absolutely nothing. A trance like state. I try to meditate before my workouts. It works for me. You get better at it with practice and time. There should be several books about it in your local library.
