IM concerned.....................

Seven days ago I took a I'm shot of deca in the ass with

a 1" needle 22 g,,,,,Now I have a swelling in the spot where

I shot. It does not hurt at all , but I can feel it close to the

surface with my hand . it feels like a hard spot. About 2inch

square. If I touch it , it can get itchy but I don't scratch it. I know

foreshore it was from the shot but I've took four shots prior to

that one with no problem. I've since moved to the delt area with

no problem. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? If

so does it go away? Should I try and drain it or go to the doctor?

or could it subside byitself? I feel like a ass but im still worried.

Help please....Thanks Space5

It's never happened to me. It may be infected, it may be just swelling. If it doesn't go away soon, go to your doctor tell him what happened and take it from there.

Is there any swelling or soreness? Is it warm to the touch or hurt? If none of the above your probably ok. Just keep an eye on it. You probably should start using a 1 1/2 for the glutes. It sounds like you just didn't inject deep enough!!

ME2

hey man the same exact thing happens to me after i enject. Its a hard spot and itches like hell. I think it happens when i enject at the wrong angle and the juice stays in the subcutanous layer of skin....Mine always goes away with no problem. good luck..ENC:fro:

Keep an eye on it

Like the others stated redness and hot get to the doc and be truthful, I was and had no problems. Had to take anti biotics for 10 days 1000mg aday of cephlexan (spelling).
But as far as a hard lump WITHOUT redness and swelling a nice hot hot bath 2 times a day and some squats (ya they can be painful with that knot) it should go a way in 3 days or so.

The main thing is your safety.

Like i said there is know pain , just a little itchy and a little warm

to the touch. I do think as well that i might not of gone deep

enough..Ill try the bath and squats thing. How much longer

should i wait before going to the doctor? Is there any other

excuse i could give him for the problem or just the facts? Thanks

for all the replies you guys are all greaT! wHAT WOULD

happen if I gave it a week or two ,to see if it goes down.

Its only slightly itchy....

I had something similar, a tiny bump, colorless and painless. I was told it was a sterile abcess and that it will go away. Mine did, so I am a little relieved. Hope this helps

Your needle isn't long enough, you probably shot in the fat tissue, and now you have a lump there. Keep en eye on it, if it turns red and gets warm, contact your doctor, but otherwise, it will go away on its own. Buy some longer needles, and you'll be fine.

Evey now and then I get a knot. Glute injections are often itchy for me. The knots goes away on its own after a day or two. As mentioned, keep an eye on it, if it gets red and warm to the touch head to a doc.
