I took this course A LONG time ago, and don't remember much. I'm trying to help good ole buddy of mine with this, and I can't seem to get it. I come up with some crazy numbers. The class is business calc if anyone cares. Here's the problem.
"A land developer plans to fence a rectangular region and then divide it into two identical rectangular lots, by putting a fence down the middle. The fence for the outside boundary costs $5 per foot and the fence for th emiddle costs $2 per foot. If each lot contains 13,500 square feet, find the dimensions of each lot that will result in a minimum cost for the fence. "
