New member
as it reads i am 24 yo male 6'4 215# a/b 12%bf...
.
i have been lifting for 8 solid years now and have been doing cardio for 2 years...(did sports in the past) so cardio is now my new mainstay

however when i walk i hear a crack in my left knee....running doesnt seem to bother me but whenever i casually walk i get a crack in my knee...'

albeit i have had problems with my left ankle, and left big toe as well...

is 1 glucosamine better than another or are they all created equal??? should i try anything else with this..
.
any thoughts would be appreciated..

danks...

They're all basically the same, but some are higher doses than others. Buy in a combination that is more effective than just glucosamine by itself, it consists of glucosamine, chrondroiton, and MSN. You could also take fish oils ...

i'm 23.

Just about all my joints crack... from my shoulders, elbows, knees, ankles... it's kind of annoying but cause me no pain.

I've used MSM, Chondrition, Glucosamine for a couple months before... then stopped it... no difference.

Make sure you're keeping your joints lubbed up with lots of water and a healthy fat intake.

Careful with alot of road running /asphalt cardio. I know older peeps that have had to get knee replacements, they were avid runners, ect.

Stick to a nice latex track, ect when possible to avoid future joint problems.

If you didn't have any joint pain, how do you know that the glucosamine, chrondroiton, MSN didnt make a difference? They're not suppose to help with joint cracking....

Right. I wanted to see if it'd help with my joints in general ("smoother" moving possibly, ect) being that alot of us lift heavy and it's gotta be hard on them... figured I'd try it to see if I noticed a any difference. I did not notice anything positive about it, the only negative would be cost for zero benefit to me.

The thread starter was talking about cracking joints as I explained my own... he did not list pain as an issue. It could be, but it was not listed in the 1st post.

I just don't think you should stear him away from glucosamine just yet without him even trying it, there are way too many people that it is beneficial for and helping with joint mobility and pain issues to just write off before trying.

I don't think I tried to "steer" in any direction with my 1st post.

I stated my thoughts on how it was for me and a couple recommendations.

I agree, why not try it... but we don't know if he has any joint pain, as you pointed out I did not have.

heres the deal....

no pain maybe mentally im thinking there should be pain because i know the cracking is not good...

2nd all my joints dont crack...i try not to crack much

i will be taking it everyone reacts diff to diff stuff we've all heard it....but just wanted to find out how people have made out ...if 1 was better than the other etc...

good thoughts bros.

danks

The stuff works...Unlike you folks I do have pain in my knee due to torn cartlidge. Started taking a Glucosamine/MSM product (not MSN this is the Microsoft Server Network) and the pain went away. I've tried a couple of different ones and they work the same. The last one I used was Natrol MSM&Glucosamine due to the cost savings. In fact I ran out a few days ago and the pain is back going to by somemore tomorrow.
