2 years ago, I partially herniated a disc in my lower back. I remember my doctor describing the disc as "bulging," "degenerative," and that the disc did not fully separate. The herniation causes discomfort when I'm lifting or running, and it's something that I want to get fixed. I've read a lot into prolotherapy, and it seems to have a fair amount of underground support. I'm wondering if prolotherapy would actually help my partial herniation. According to some website (forget which) the ideal candidate for prolotherapy has pain originating from a ligament or tendon.
Will prolotherapy help me? Will it likely "fix" my bulging disc? I'm looking for opinions here because I assume my doctor will urge me to get prolotherapy in the name of $$$$
