Looking for INPUT on Workout.

was thinking of adding various pullups, pushups and dips in between my work outs on (tues & sat) . i wanted to know if it would be ok in the sense that i am not 'over doing it' so to speak.

keep in mind i have been lifting for a little over year and half now. pyramiding for my workouts. Mon-chest and bicep, Tues-legs and run, Wed-back an trap, Thur-legs and run, Fri-shoulders and triceps. whew...

just trying to get a feel of what everyone thinks and wanting just hit muscles a different way i guess any and all advice is appreciated...thank you

how have you progressed since you have started working out?
please respond with your stats:
age, weight, bodyfat (estimate at least) at the beginning and now...
list your diet as complete as possible... and your 1rep maxes in squat and deadlift then and now and we can get a better idea... but as of right now, i would assume it would be overtraining...

i don't think it's necessary. Your body grows out of the gym, not in it and 2 rest days is almost the bare minimum of how long anyone should be resting imo.

oh i am very pleased with my progression!!!! at the beginning i weighed about 320lbs. lost weight and got down to 270lbs and now weigh 280lbs so i assume it's muscle.

hey thanks i guess i just have this feeling of wanting to add a little more to my training. u know just kind of be strong through weights but want to be able to move my own weight effectively. (don't know if i am explaining it correctly)

i am 6ft and 280lbs (don't look it really atleast that's what i am told from other gym goers).
30yrs of age. 25% body fat. i also play tennis and other sports and can move for my size.
maxing out flat bench at 320lbs. tricep press 320lbs. staight bar curls 110lbs. (all max stats given from appropriate day of work out)

do you squat or deadlifT? If not, you should definitely add those 2 exercises into your training routine

^^^ you gain nothing. He is in the same situation alot of new guys or new AAS users get into. I was into it when I was 21 too on my first cycle. I saw fast results and I wanted to train all the time 7 days a week. People who get quick results want to get into that "more is better" mode. Which is bad news. People really dont give resting your body and letting it recover and grow enough serious research/consideration/thought, whatever....
Its simple, if you dont rest enough you wont grow. 1 day a week rest is not enough.
If you over train you are just going to hinder your gains and your also asking for an injury.
