Long term "test" question:

Male 1/2 of 2raptors here.....

well, not a "test" question, but a question about test.

I was tested (er, sorry ) for "test" levels...and was found to be in the tank...the doc said he could not belive how low I was...like a 72 year old man...so I qualify for HRT.

Anyway, I was thinking of staying on the test only (sustanon 250 1x per week) after I get off my cycle. I am having great results on the cycle.. got the post lined up, AOK. SO, plan on dieting down and posting before and after shots, pre-cycle, during cycle and post diet (I'm going to try a competition diet to say I could do it...and see what's under the layer of hard earned fat).

What are your thoughts on staying on test...as HRT....should there be a "break" from it. I feel GREAT now that I'm on .... but am expecting to tank hard once I go off. Despite post-cycle therapy.

Thanks!

I could never hold onto gains post-cycle regarless of what I used to aid recovery. Eventually I found that I had low test levels and that explained everything.

Now I am on HRT and I am able to maintain a decent size as well as maintain my libido. However, there are some risks and I would suggest that you do your HRT under the supervision of a doctor. You may alsp want to incorporate HCG which maintains testicular size and helps with libido, long term.

I think HRT is a probably a must for you. But, I would be careful to assume that you need as much as 250mg per week. If you want to run that much, fine, but it may be more than you need. So to that end, using the least amount of test to do the job is the best idea. Plus you are going to want to have other hormones checked to make sure they are in balance too.

DHEA, Thyroid, Estro, etc. You might need to supplement those and use HCG. It's a lot more complicated than just shooting and forgetting it. Well, if you want to do proper HRT and feel the best you can that is.

R1 is a wealth of HRT information. You may want to look up his posts about it.

My T levels were 138L, PT 4.5 (norm), I have to find the test to see what other hormones were covered. got ya.... good advice....I'm seeing him next week anyway....

Don't let the doctor take your blood work next week. Your levels are going to be sky high from your cycle. Wait atleast three weeks from your last shot before you get blood work done. If you're doc sees your numbers now he'll know exactly what you've been up to and good luck getting him to prescribe anything after that even if you did need it beforehand. I'm on HRT for life because of a medical condition and 100 mg of test cypionate keeps me between 650 and 750 so I think 250 mg a week is going to put you way over the limit. Besides you don't want to be high test all the time it is bad for your lipid profile.

A low test level can mean different things..... testies not working, is the signal to the testies ok, are other hormons ok.....I would find the cause of the problem first before dealing with symptoms

Both you guys are right! Jevans and Varga...I'll wait to make the appointment, and then ask why THEY didn't suggest to figure out WHY I'm so low to begin with...didn't dawn on me really to ask...I just "assumed" low because of my age, run's in the fam.... Great reply guys...K to you both!

When you say "lipid profiles" do you mean cholesterol levels ? I am 36 and my Dr. Prescribes me T Cyp as well. He had me doing 100mgs of cyp 1 week.
Then 100mgs of decca the next week and alternating each week.
Of course my steroid abusing ass did not follow it. I self prescibed myself 100mgs of cyp every 5 days. I went to a different Dr. got my blood work done and I was in the 500's and that Dr. said that was a "good level" for my t levels. What are the long term effects test replacement therapy at higher doses around 200mgs a week. Genetically I have very low cholesterol levels . So I don't think I have to worry about that. I basically like to bridge my cycles with hrt. Only after I have completed about 2-3 weeks of pct. I have had my t levels checked after a cycle and like the rest of you had insanely low levels but I have been doing juice on and off for 10 years and have never ever noticed "nut shrinkage" does anyone have any take on that ?
