lol sorry if I upset you somehow. I was just teasing.
I liked LOTR and the Hobbit, they were really good. The Silmarillion on the other hand was a real yawn. I did of course read them when I was a kid though ;)

You didn't upset me, but the whole "harry potter is for kids under 13" argument is a little bit tired, and frankly, incorrect.

Agreed with smurf....spending time together doesn't have to involve talking. Inconveniencing yourself slightly now and then for the happiness of your S.O. is part of the glue of any relationship IMO. I'd much rather be present for the experiences they are enjoying than hear about it later.

I would completely agree on that if my SO cared about this kind of thing, but he doesnt want to make me watch something I dont want to just as much as he doesnt want to watch something he doesnt want to, we dont see inconveniencing eachother as a sign of love, it would actually be kinda selfish... I guess we are the weird ones in this case...
