Little down town markets

For produce and meats, do you have one?

We have a place called down town produce, it's on my way to work, they have the best stuff, $4.99 frozen whole cooked lobster, $1.99 boneless skinless chicken breast, $1.49 boneless pork chops (which is like a pork medallion on steroids) $2.99 steak cuts, $1.99 quiche slices, pies, fresh produce, the whole works!!!! I love it, I get such delicious wholesome food there, I'm thinking of cutting processed crap and eating stuff from there only... is it common in most towns to hae these little awesome produce stores?

Yes, but usually the prices are much higher than grocery chains.

I can stand my local Winn Dixie, meat there is ultra nasty.... kinda greenish

We have a local meat market that has the best lamb and steak on the planet. A german family runs it and they hook me up!

We have the Fresh Markets , they have fantastic meats , and select items ..I love that place

You may want to do some googling. Lots of investigations recently have found many are total scams that get their foods from stores, restaurants, unsold food, etc. and then resold as "local farms food". Something like 90% of the vendors at one bust dont' even have a farm.

I wouldn't feel safe buying food from these vendors.

ok just did some reseach,my local place has been in business since 1983 and seems they supply most local restaurants and hotels with meat,seafood and produce... Im a bit more calm now.... they also let you have 2 glasses of beer on the house while you shop they have the best wines, beers ans cheeses, LOVE that place

we have a local butcher and about a million farms
one farm even has an "honor" box for payment...no one is there you just leave money in it....I guess its never been ripped off in something like 40+ years of operation

but seriously I think i live in "pleasantville" but with art galleries
