This is true, but not everyone is interested in building gripping strength. It may be required in powerlifting, but not everyone here aspires to be a powerlifter. I use straps on a lot of back exercises because I can concentrate on moving the weight and not on maintianing my grip. I also spend alot of time working forearms with various types of wrist curls and when I'm commuting to work I use my grippers too. My forearm development is right on par with what I want it to be as is my grip strength.
