For starters it shows little heart. How many seasons did Sweetness play for the Bears before they sniffed a title? Or Jordan? Or Montana? I could keep going. Point is he made it all about him which yes, he has the right to do but it still shows little heart. The legends are the guys that showed loyalty and honor combined with their great talent and work. LeBumms shot at being a legend was blown the moment the words "talents to South Beach" left his lips. But the biggest thing was how he did it. No class. It was a sack punch and it made sure Cleveland got nothing for him. What he said last night after the game only further proves the punk he has become.

i gotta agree with SB on this one.

Lebron had every right to leave cleveland and go to Miami.. he satisfied his contract and moved on. a sign and trade deal for cleveland would of yielded them nothing of value except 3 scrubs and a pick or two that would just hog up cap space.


Cleveland btw now has 2 early picks in the draft so they will be fine if they choose wisely although the draft is thin, they should get some great talent.

oh and congrats to the Mavs. they deserved it.. they put together their team the right way, and found some talented guys like Chandler and Bareas that no one ever heard of prior to the season.

I'm glad Miami did not win just cause it would set a bad precedent of just throwing superstars together and buying a chamipionship instead of building a team like the way Dallas did. I'm a Tragic's fan and they tried to do that years ago with Grant Hill and it backfired and set the franchise back years, then they go and fire one of the best coaches in the nba.. stupid stupid stupid. they should of just built the team the right way.

yeah free agency did not exist in the NFL until the early 90's and when it came on guys like Deion Sanders jumped from team to team and picked up rings. did that mean he had no heart? or did he simply want to win? he won with the 49ers and with the cowboys.

lebron played like shit but imo the real reason they lost or wont win it next year is bosh..bosh sucks..if they would have got a 3rd player that was a great low post scorer instead of a 7 foot tall jump shooter they would have been much better aka amare ..heat have nobody that can score on the post .. nobody.. that is a big handicap

football is the ultimate team sport. no one is going to harp on a cornerback for changing teams. you need almost all of your 52 man roster to win.

In basketball, you only need 7 or 8, and your 1 or 2 main players have a gigantic impact on the game. don't compare the two

not to mention it's a terrible analogy to attribute changing teams with lack of heart. Lack of heart is being one of the most talented guys in your sport but going to another team to defer to another player so you "don't have to be the man". Deion sanders was the man whereever he was going to be. He also performed when it mattered. Lebron has no heart because he CHOKES

i stopped reading after this. Using the argument of "what did bosh do before the playoffs (i.e. he performed in the playoffs" to prove that he's worse than someone who completely DISAPPEARED in the playoffs, is a retarded point to use.

Their team is almost entirely based on its defense. Boozer was a HORRIBLe defender on a great defensive team. At least bosh's help defense was pretty good for most of the playoffs, at least until dirk schooled the fuck out of him. But boozer was getting torched all playoffs and that's why you had Taj Gibson in there more often than not.

Not to mention boozer can't play miami's style of basketball. Their game is predicated on getting turnovers (WITH THEIR DEFENSE) and pushing the ball up court for easy baskets. You have boozer and you can't do either of those.

Boozer sucks balls. He'd be a guaranteed injury

i wasnt referring to this current year. but even in hockey before the lockout they hoarded superstars expecting them to be unbeatable. but all they had was a bunch of puck hogs who couldnt play together

if anything your post confirms what my point was which cannot fault lebron for picking Miami which of all the realistic choices he had was the best chance to win a ring.

but still even if you throw a bunch of guys together its still hard to win in the NBA.

As usual Stevie Boy you and I will have to agree to disagree my friend. The long and the short of it is this. Lebron truly had the opportunity to put himself in basketball lore alongside Micheal. By leaving Cleveland hanging in the wind and opting instead to try the easy way out, he blew it. No one is arguing his RIGHT to do it. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Had he hung in there and brought a title to the titleless town, he would have carved his name in a rock. As it is, title or no title, he will be nothing more than just another guy who played basketball. He wasted an opportunity most of us could only dream of. And on top of it all he is truly acting like a punk. No class.
