I never met the couple before, but here's what I knew about them: This is his 5th marriage and her father is a big time mob boss.

So, i dress up. black dressy slacks, heels, black tank top, and a thin, short black and pink sweater over it. I did my hair up (which is black now) in a typical "housewives of NJ" style...

we get there and there are NO other couples there. The wife is wearing jeans and a thick sweatshirt. why? because their house is FREEZING. We end up standing in the kitchen most of the night with my feet killing me and i was actually shivering.
what kind of mob bosses daughter dresses like a slob? I couldn't wait to leave.

nobody else showed up.
the husband works for my husband, so i doubt they were hoping for anything to happen.... he's lucky he has a job (he just got hired and had to relocate for it).

actually, that wasn't bad. no champagne, which i LOVE, but plenty of good beer and mixed drinks.
i didn't know if they would have food or not, so i had gone to hooters earlier. They did have food out, although whatever was supposed to be hot was cold when we got there.
