Knee injury senior year

I injured my knee at football camp. I just had my MRI and the doc said I ruptured my acl,tore my meniscus pretty bad, an have tears in my mcl and lcl. I know I won't be able to play football this year. But I was wondering if anyone knows if I'll even be the same after surgery? I've already had meniscus tear surgery in the same knee before. But I have no info or experience with the other injuries.

It can heal well. You're young. But there's nothing to say it will defiantly be as before.
These things depend on Rehab, Rest, Dr's hands, your body.
 
Just stay dedicated. Will come back okay I'm sure. What position you playing? Just be something to try and protect for the future.

I will no doubt. I play running back and linebacker. I'm thinking about just not doing any sports this year. I usually wrestle and throw/run in the spring for track. But I'm being looked at by colleges for football so I want to make sure I'm 100%.

Sounds like what I did for sports in hs! nice, yeah be smarter to take the time off maybe by spring run track. Worst case could go jc then transfer. what I did had a bad team and injured.. then decided wanted to wrestle. Lol

Yeah I figured track would be a good no contact test for my knee. And a jc is what I've been thinking too.

If aren't getting any real offers and are probably gonna end up with a school interested but as a walk on where are gonna be out senior year. Would suggest a jc is cheap and can get a feel and more experience and playing time. Then go to a school on scholarship if can. Bigger schools take a lot of their players from jc cus have more experience and can come in and have an instant impact

Let it heal and focus on college. Your hs football days are over. Get back to a 100% hit the weights and start prepping for college. This is just a minor setback. Do what you need to do to heal, and if football is your goal go after it. I wouldnt chance getting injured running track if football is your goal. Good luck, and dont let this discourage you. Maybe one day we will be watching you on sunday's.
