Kill Bill...

Just finished downloading the movie... will watch tonight. Would like to see it in the theaters, but no babysitter is available :(

the animation really bothered me too, why put that in at all!? At least it was gory animation :)

The ending was a cliffhanger but I was glad it didnt cut an entire scene in half like some movies so and say "if you wanna see if x beats x, watch the next one." You want to see volume 2 because you are curious how everything as a whole will end, not just one scene. The movie did literally feel like half a great movie.

I have read the review on this movie and the words "dreadful" and "baseless" were included in the review.

Dissapointing because I am a big fan of Tarantino, not sure why he took 6 years to make another picture, but judging by his other 3 movies the guys a f'kn genius.

He waited 6 years because he was writing a war epic... That will be next after Kill Bill pt 2.

He also wrote Kill Bill but waited for Uma to have her baby before filming the movie. She developed the idea with QT on the set of Pulp Fiction and casting someone else would have broken her heart.

2 hours of fake fighting. I can watch The Matrix for that.

School of Rock is fucking HILLARIOIUS!!! No fightin, but a GREAT funny storyline and hillarious acting!

I use to value what you had to say. Thought you had some good opinions on many things.

After that statment about school of rock, you crushed all my beleifs about you. School of Rock had to be the corniest movie I have seen in a long time. It might be just as cheesy as that movie "Hardball" with Reeves. Well I wouldn't go that far since I did laugh many times during School of Rock.

"the" review? It pulls together HK flicks, westerns (did you guys notice the Ennio Morricone music credits?), stylized samurai movies, anime, blaxploitation, fetish, the modern look, small-town styles, and I swear Uma was breakdancing with the sword :D The cinematics are genius. It's like the first Scary Movies, you can enjoy it alone or laugh louder when you remember where the movie is coming from.
BTW pt 1 is the visuals to pull you in, part 2 will have a lot more dialogue.

Quentin Tarentino is a fuckin genious. if ever a movie could rival Pulp Fiction it is Kill Bill. Kinda weird how it just stops in the middle. Also the added animation and black and white gave a great effect. I might actually go see it again. Besides Bad Boys 2 this is the best movie I have seen in long time.

Seriously the line that divides the people here on whether they liked Kill Bill or not really shows the different levels of human evolution available on this board.

The switch to animation in the one frame annoyed me,as well as having some really annoying songs/music.The fight scene in the restaurant was cool, but outside of that I wasn't overly impressed.Dialogue was decent, and there were a couple of humorous parts.

Rundown was more entertaining to me all in all.Non stop action, and lots of laughs.

Man, i respect ya, but I can't agree with you at all on this one.

First off, the Rundown is a different type of film completely.. so you can't compare. It'd be like saying the Backstreet boys are better then Beethoven.

Tarantino.. while slightly played out by the mainstream media.. is one of the only true modern film makers. He's pushing a product as well, but he is also pushing the art. Not just a bunch of people saying "wow that was neat, great effects!" but a sense of style.

I don't disagree with reviews that say All Style, No Substance... because really what fucking substance do YOU go to a movie theater to get? I'll tell you right now people who look for substance in their movies need to get a grip. Its no substitute for real life.

Kill Bill was awesome, unique, adventurous. Tarantino took many risks in the film, many people wont like, but that all together makes a masterpiece. There is something for everyone in the film. The cinematography is outstanding, the choreography is better then any American made film I've seen. The dilaoge is genious. The music is amazing and the soundtrack itself is something of an artistic complilation.

Bottom line, the movie is awesome. A SIGNIFICANT step up from Jackie Brown which many people felt lived up poorly to the extreme hype of Pulp Fiction.

When he made his first filk, Resorvior Dogs, no one liked it. People would have reccomended shitty movies "The Rundown" over it had it been out at the time. Now, after he makes it big with Pulp Fiction, people embraced his first film. Tarantino should be respected for not just making a Pulp Fiction 2 with the same characters and feel, instead he continues on with innovative ideas and barely managed to keep the mainstream industry interesting.
