week 4 of bulking but eating clean..i checked the scales today and i'm at 200 even finally! oh and i'm 5'11 by the way..

Damn you and your burger diet!

Looking great......you reached my damn goal to be 200lbs, 6-8%bf at 5'10. You do no cardio, correct?

by the way if you ever want to know what my body looks like check out KAK very similiar, I have a bigger back though but he has bigger arms so its a trade off...

oh and im not asian but I am better looking :D

I tell you what has made a huge difference: training partner.

My new trianing partner is a good friend of mine in my chiropractic class...he was the Mr. America 1999...and this guy is HUGE..i've followed his training techniques and he's there to push me. This guy knows what he's talking about.

Plus I train at Main Event here in atlanta and when you see guys like Scott Steiner, DDP, Disco Inferno, Lex Luger and the likes, its not hard to be motivated...Cant look like a pussy in front of them right? heheeh..

but thanks guys..motivation, i've found, is the secret to anybody's success..

and High Intensity...screw you and your back LOL j/k

yep no cardio..just watch diet very closely and train at high intensity..i'm always in and out of the gym in 40-45 mins with a lot of volume and weight...trust me, it works a lot better for your fast twitch fibers when you go at this intensity and I feel like growth is fast and more consistent.

And if anybody cares (and those of you who have been on the board for a while probably already know this) but a year and a half ago i was sitting at 5'11 165 at 6%bf..and it has taken me that long to reach my goal of 200 lbs and 6-7%. i really dont want to get past 210 and 6%bf..from then on i'm just gonna maintain.
 
Bulking Natural or with some sauce? Either way looking solid bro.:)
 
nice kak, im at the last week of my fina/winny and im sitting at 230lbs. at 6'1" (been 230 for about 3 weeks), dunno my new BF tho... looking great man, keep it up. Koreans have to make sure they're the biggest of any other asians.

I am 6'1" and it's my goal to be 230lbs at about 6% b/f. I am curious to see what you look like. I want to know if I'd be happy with that size. Do you have any pics?

p.s. I have very broad shoulders which means I seem to need more mass in my upper body than normal.
 
thanks guys for all the compliments..i have to admit, i was waiting for this day to happen for a while, ever since I decided to shed the lean look and get some mass on me.

And it has been harder than i thought...my metabolism is so fast that its hard to gain a lot of mass, but then again, its a plus cuz when i do, its usually lbm and little to no fat.

but like i said, i have a lot of respect for those who are 200+ on the board and shredded..those who compete etc...but i will never compete, nor will i ever want to..like some of us on the board, i just wanna reach a certain point and maintain and try to look aesthetically pleasing to the average normal person.

but its nice to hear in the gym from my buddy who's 5'5, 190 lbs and around 5%bf that he thinks that Im a "big guy"..i was like get da fuck outta here..and he's like no way man you look great..

its always flattering and keeps the motivation alive..i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about.:fro:

Damn dude, you said bulking right? I'm envious, i get fat as hell when I bulk, even when eating clean. You look great.

by the way, i just remembered, here's my training schedule:

Sun: Legs, Abs (resistance exercises)
Mon: Chest, Abs (low resistance--floor exercises etc.)
Tuesday Back, Bi's (3 sets of bi's only--light bicep workout)
Wednesday: Delts, Traps, Abs (again, resistance exercises)
Thursday: Biceps (hard), triceps, forearms
Friday: off
Saturday off

I do my bi's twice a week because if you think about it, with all the pressing movements on chest and delt day, you hit the tri's already enough..and with the back day, you hit bi's only once.

So my logic is, really i train triceps hard once a week, and twice very lightly (because of the chest and delt exercises)

So i feel like to work them almost equally i should hit biceps hard once day, and one day lightly

thanks Willy....i take it as a huge compliment coming from you..i've read many of your posts for a long time now on the boards and you're definitely one of the more experienced and informative bro's on the board we got..

It struck me as odd that in the gym yesterday at Main Event, a guy working there actually asked me if i competed and when i was gonna do my next show..i was like WTF?? My fat ass will never compete..
 
you look good guy! I totally agree with your training tecnique.It works great. you should compete,why not,you have the right training partner to help with diet,it will really help your physique.
as long as you have the legs.

well i def. got the trunk legs..those are my biggest body parts...even my training partner says my legs are a lot better than my upper body.

but as for competing? cant do it..i dont ever wanna be below 5%bf with my face sucked in and not enjoying my normal activities..

i train as recreation---a release from stress...and for health..and also so my girlfriend's friends can marvel at how built her boyfriend is versus they're fat ass or pencil necked boyfriends are :)

kak, how many times did it take you to get to 200 from 165?

im 5'8 and 165, was at 185 but got real lazy and didnt keep very much.... im on my way to 200 hopefully!!!!!!!! wondering what all it took!!!
 
how many times? like how many times did i try to eat a lot of calories and focus on bulking? or how many times have i reached 200? im lost:confused:
 
oh and to answer a PM i got about this thread:

in my avatar, taken approx 7-8 weeks ago, i was sitting at 189 and 5-6%bf.

i started bulking up and adding clean calories 4 weeks ago and so i've gained 11 of lbm..might not sound like much but i'm eating really clean, 6 times a day with still moderate carbs (35% of daily calories).if i ate shit all day i think i would have already gained 18-20 but that would be some fat and water too..

Crongrats bro...loking great... about a year and a half i was 5'11" 152 at 14% BF. now, im 205 at about 8-9%BF, and just like you, I am in and out of the gym in 45 minutes always at high intensity. works great for me... my philosophy is: try it, if it works stay with it, until it stops working. once again good job bro. ;)

230 at 6'1? damn, you're def. the biggest korean I know (i thought I was the biggest korean on the planet:bawling: )

ANd yes, you're right, we have to make sure we're the biggest of all the eastern brothas..and try to make them feel like shit whever possible heheheheheheh :fro:

How did you gain all the weight without getting a belly?

I was at 175lbs... but my belly was getting too big so I had to cut back down to 168lbs..

but there is a noticeable difference from a year and a half ago to now..

before you looked like a men's fitness guy.. now you look like a muscle and fitness guy..

Looking thick bro, good job. I had one question. You train at high intensity for apx. 45 minutes. -How long between sets do you rest? Whenever I try high intensity, I feel I never wait long enough. Just curious - thanks.
 
symmetry...i attribute it to good genetics..i dont gain fat all that easily and i make sure i dont eat high carb--ever..not even really after post workout..

alien amp, I rest about 60 seconds between compound exercies, and like isolation exercises (curls, lateral raises, shrugs, abs, tri's, etc...) i rest 45-60 seconds..depending on how i'm feeling that day.

Its a great anaerobic and aerobic workout in my opinion..i think thats why I A) gain good muscle because of the growth hormone elevation during high intensity anaerobic training and B) stay lean cuz i'm inadvertently getting a cardiovascular workout at the same time

I am 5'10 currently cutting from 11% bf at 192 lbs, I would like to be between 200-210 6-9% year round, (9 is max) thanks for the inspiring pics. I am only using diet cardio, yohimburn and lite anabolics like var and primo to get there( test and stuff give me anxiety) I plan to do it over the next year. My dieting is going great now so i think I can make it. Thanks for the pics.

Good results Kak, but I'm calling bullshit on this. I thought that when I got to 200 too. But it's addictive. Now I'm thinking, "220 and I'll be cool." It goes up and up.

hahaha..yeah, i hear ya guys..i mean i'll admit, sure its addicting to getting more massive etc. and the feeling of just everybody staring at you in the gym while you work out is great.

I definitely got a kick out of hearing someone say the other day in the gym come up to me and say, "Damn bro, I wanna get where you are right now" And the kid was pretty damn big himself.

But I digress, its a personal thing ya know? I know I'll never compete or anything like that, and also my goals are to look aesthetically pleasing to my own eye when i look in the mirror and I dont want to go for the bulky look. I have average sized limbs and when I put a lot more mass on, they look shorter which looks dumb in my opinion.

Plus I'm an active kid. I like playing ball in my sparetime (but lately i havent had any spare time to do so) and I still wanna be functional/flexible enough to enjoy those things. I use to be known for my quickness on the court, but now I'm not so sure I still got it :(

Anyways, thanks for the compliments..i'm about to post some update pics (this is the middle of week 6 for me)
