Just got back from a cruise!

I had a good time; however, I was ready to get back to the real world. Anyone else cruised recently? We encountered a tornado in Belize & didn't even get off the boat! That was frustrating to me.

Hubby and I went on a cruise last spring break on Norwegian Cruise Lines and were very dissapointed. We went with another couple who were also a bit tough to handle too...she had a bad cold and he's just a bit of a mental case (almost got arrested two countries). Sorry you didn't get to see Belize...that was our favorite stop. We are gonna give the cruise thing one more shot but I don't know if it's really for us. My favorite vacation so far has been when we stayed at a friend's time-share in Cancun...we went there twice and loved it both times.

yeah Tom cruise is okay, sometimes I wish he would have got hit by a bus when he was in the movie speed. and when i say the movie speed i clearly mean i would like to see him in speedos? He was okay in back to the future but his hair could have been better imho.

Bullit - Believe it or not, there were about 40-50% of the people on board were gay! We weren't aware of this prior to booking.

I don't know about the bonanza thing. It was sort of strange as I've never been around that many at one time holding hands, etc.

MrsPuddlesFl - I hate that you were very disappointed. The other couple that went with us usually turned in early & we wanted to do as much as we could while on the ship. I wanted to see Belize so much. We may try it again at some point in time. Good luck to you and your hubby on your next cruise!

There was a 75 year old drag queen on one cruise I went on.

I've been to the Southern Caribbean, Western Caribbean and Alaska. Next is Northern Europe. I think they are tons of fun, just because you get to see lots of places. Not always very relaxing when you have 7am excursions everyday to get up for.

beastboy - you should check out Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas. It's bigger than the one we went on but saw it beside of our ship. It has an ice-skating rink, basketball court, area for roller-blading & I believe a putt-putt course (if you both are in to that kind of stuff).

They really pamper you & you can relax & do nothing!

Yes, this is the reason We cruise.
And also if you want to do something, there is plenty to do on and off the ships.

Y_Lifter - I'm not blaming the cruise lines for the poor companions, but I just don't need it in my face when I'm trying to relax and have a good time.
