hmm, i sit here wondering whom you are speaking to IPSON... anyways, if you are such a Fina addict, i actually know a place to get really good deals, you can e-mail me. And iI am interested in why you would prefer to pre-filter with a coffee filter and coffee mug... its not very sterile, just cause fina sterility is poor in the first place, doesnt mean you should go all out and make it worse, know what im saying, ive found .8um filters, i would recommend that to you... also about the BA, your correct, never bake the shit, thats the old way of thinking, it wasnt thought out very clearly

What the hell are you guys talking about!!!???????

1. Don't use coffee filters. They work like shit. they're messy, dirty, and you lose yield. Use multiple syringe filters (0.45 and .25 micron) instead.
2. Since when do sterile filters sterilize your solution? That's ridiculous. If I piss through it will I have sterile piss?
3. Yield is not 100% (4000mg/90mL does NOT give 44mg/mL)
I'd say an estimate of 90% may be more accurate depending on your technique and kit.

LMFAO at #2. I've been saying that for a while.
I always bake my fina no matter what.

Actually! Piss is sterile unless you have a UTI. ;)

are you saying I can email you for a source? If you are that's not cool and I won't be emailing you. I use a coffee filter to get the glue and fillers out of the oil....Look this is my last remark on this thread; its going no where and should be locked down.

You make it your way, I'll make it my way and we will all be happy. Ask the guy that followed my directions if he is getting abcess or injection pain. He has 90ml surely if he's going to get abcess 90ml is a lot. We will just wait and see.

I'm done.

a source? lol, fuck no, im not that generous, i was just saying, i know a place where you can get cheap Finaplix, that is of course if your a farmer, but you dont seem like one.... peace

Maybe I am unclear but this was taken from your post on AF some time ago about this very same topic.

Baking is just a form of pateurization....

Then, all you need to do is filter the Fina with a .45 or .20 into a NEW vial.

Bingo. Sterile, filtered Fina.

This next post was taken from another well respected member on AF named coroner.
Baking is not only unnecessary (if properly filtered), but IMO is not a good thing at all. I have two reasons. First off, if there is ANY methylcellulose left in your vial it WILL polymerize to give you the dreaded red/brown goo. Second, sterile filtering is how the drug companies make their solutions sterile. 'nuf said

I am unsure what side you are taking Fonz, I know you feel that baking is a necessary step but is it necessary for sterilization. I was always under the impression that it wasn't it was the filtering alone that sterilized the solution.

I would like to bump this to see what side of the fence fonz is finally going to fall on. All of you newbies who flamed me especially need need to read this. Here is a copy of a post from AF (by far the board with the most intelegent people) made by Coroner. Most of you will know his reputation and qualifications.

Short answer: YES filtering is sufficient.

Long answer:
99.9% of all bacteria are larger than one micron; most are on the order of 1-10 micron. That's pretty big, if you think about it- although it still may be undetectable by the human eye. Most people agree that anything below about 30 microns is not detectable without a microscope or something better than our eyes.

There are, however, bacteria that can be smaller than 1 micron. These "new" (new in the sense that we are only now learning more about them) bacteria are called mycoplasma- so called because they lack a cell wall- can be between .1 and 1 micron. These are the "bacteria" that supposedly cause Gulf War Syndrome, CFS, and a bunch of others. However the lifespan of these guys outside of the body is less than a couple hours; they need a host to survive. I really don't think that we need to worry about them, especially if you're careful while brewing your stuff.

The other answer is that filtration is the method of choice to sterilize drugs manufactured by the drug companies (assuming that the drug itself is small enough). The reason is that most drugs, our hormones that we like to inject included, can be heat-sensitive and there is no sense in heating the stuff up if you can just filter out all of the heebie-jeebies.

If you need more convincing do a search on AF and you will be reassured.
