Shes not a hero per se, but she is a young, attractive girl who went through something 99% of this country will never go through. I would consider her story an inspiration.

With all due respect, but all this hoopla around Jessica POW's saga makes me think to those US soldier who died fighting or to those soliders who got rescued too but no word was mentioned about them.

Is she really a hero?

Media needs stories, need heroes ..if they dont have one they come up with one..

I happen to know a soldier --used to be in the Army too--who died but in Irak but no one ever mentioned shit about him...Wasnt he a HERO??

No she didn't. She got in a car crash and was almost killed, all other people in her car were killed by the accident. She was taken care of in a hospital and treated well.

I happen to know some people- who I would call heroes- but only a few would know as the media dont care about those whose stories is not as compeling or good looking as Jessica's.

They are in Afaganistan and no one would mention a word about them and what perils are going thru every day.

She is a lucky survivor but far away from what a real heroes entails...No offense!
