The best way to describe is that it's a "juice" but it's only 5% juice. For the low carb slenderize version it's got: 10 cals, 0g fat, 5mg sodium, 2g carb, 1g of which is sugar, 0g protein & Vit C, Chromium, L-Carnitine & Citrimax in it.

Helps with mixing the Glutamine & Creatine.....

Ya know Jenz, I gotta give it up to you for your walks to the gym since the weather has gotten warmer. How do you stay motivated? I ask because it's a 30 minute walk to my house from the train station, and of course I take the bus, so that it can be a 2 minute walk instead. I know I was making bigger gains as far as my goals are concerned (cutting), when I did the walking, yet I have no inclination lately to do that much walking in the heat. Any advice?

I just do it......LOL....Hubby & I are walkers -- we walk everywhere we can. Plus I live in a city, so I dont' want to lose the parking spot in front of my house and I'm too cheap to pay for the bus (which sucks around here anyway). Plus, with walking you have a purpose & destination -- you have to keep going to either get home or to wherever.

And I've read numerous articles about Europe, France, etc where they dont' really eat any better than we do in the US but with all the walking they do - they are healthier.

Plus, look at it this way -- the more you walk, the less time you have to spend on the treadmill......

Fred gave me 3 pages of a diet to follow -- each day has different levels of protein, carbs, etc and is titled "Day 1" "Day2" & "Day 3" -- I do 2 days of day 1, then 2 days of day 2 then 2 days of day 3, then repeat.

I'm typing each "day" into my log as I print it out & take it to our meetings so he can see if I make changes, what those changes are & how they relate to each day's meal plan.

Saw Fred today.....He's impressed with how my legs are coming in....STILL need to work on upper chest, back width & front/rear delts......However, per him, I'm ahead of the game as far as bf loss is concerned...he expected 12lbs of bf loss in the 6 weeks we've "been together" (lol) & I've lost 13 -- on track!! I'm currently at 13% bodyfat. Howevr, he expected me to gain some LBM and I did not.

He's looking at me for a show Aug. 27th, Figure comp. Gotta get crackin' on the suits & shoes!!

Also got a new workout routine + a new Menu Plan -- Day 1 & Day 2 -- 2 days on of each, then repeat.

He cut out a few foods & I have only 2 menu plans instead of 3, 2 on of each, then repeat. And no very, very low carb day & the high carb days a little lower in carbs then before. Pretty much the same foods tho...

It was funny, he said he cut out the "junk" - I was like what junk?????? LOL

Very true. Plus unless I am wearing my pedometer I have no record of my distance or caloric burn when I like run the track or do something else other than go to the gym to hit cardio.

When I do empty-stomach, morning Cardio - I always drive up.......I only walk to the gym when I lift - so if I was going to lift today in the afternoon, I'd walk up, like yesterday....

Gotcha :) Well, as I continue to say, amazing changes occur in the last 2 weeks and worse case you just look to your back up / second show schedule. Keep it all in perspective and don't like a show define your self-image. Its just a freekin show. But going thru the prep gets in you the right mind frame, makes sure you are practicing all your stuff and you just do it again for the 2nd show.

Also I'm looking at the Aug 27th show as a "practice" show -- where I can get on stage, get used to the moves, etc in a place where no one knows me & I'm not inviting anyone! :lmao: I don't expect anything from the show at all....just practice!

Jen, did your trainer put you on a specific diet, or how did you come up with your meals? I was just wondering about having bread and cheese in your diet this close to your comp, that's why I'm asking. If you still have dairy in your diet, once you drop it you should notice a significant change. I had quite a drop in bf when I dropped it.

I'm following a diet he gave me....I see him again 7/27 - so I'm expecting him to drop the dairy + wet carbs then.....

Cool. Hey, I know there are a million different approaches to this, and I'm still learning. But you should notice a huge change a week or so after those changes in your diet. :)

That could be. I know last night when I was at the gym I did great at the start and then it was like boom my strength and energy levels bottomed out. I came home drank a protein shake and then hit the sack. A massage sounds sooooo soooo good!!!!

Hey Jen, I'm sure this is in your log somewhere, but are you tracking you bf%? Has it changed? Also, do you have any recent pics? Just curious, since your comps is about a month away.

My trainer is tracking my bf. I see him in 2 days..... last time it was 13%.....

Cool, I remember seeing those. It helped me a lot to take weekly progress pics doing quarter turns. That way, you can look back each week and see little changes. I just mentioned that because I don't know if you're taking pics regularly or not. Just a suggestion.
