No surprise the NBA isn't as popular as the NFL, but comparing it to the wrestling makes no sense whatsoever. If anything, football is closer related. Basketball has no contact.

anyone that has ever played the game knows that you were taught to lead with your nose when you tackle...and your nose is hooked to your head...and your head is inside a helmet...anyone that doesn't know or understand that basic precept has never played the game...or they didn't play it very fucking well...it's not a game for poosies.

i was speaking purely on the "entertainment" aspect...you take those high-flying fools in the nba and put them on an international court, playing against teams made up of one nba'er and a bunch of also-rans and 50% of the time, they get their ass handed to them because all that dunking and bullshit is no match for disciplined ball handling, passing, shooting and all around technical competence...we invented the game for chrissakes, and the best we have to offer struggle against international players who are plumbers for a living and play basketball part-time...it's a fucking JOKE.

I love all sports, ofcourse I have my favs but I don't really think like NFL vs Nascar or NFL vs MLB..
If you sat me down and told me to watch horse racing, I could get into it
Especially sports that I can actually do (golf, hoops, baseball, snowboarding, w/e), Makes me appreciate the talent it takes to compete at a high level

oh hell no! i love football but i also love skiing and motocross and the x-games ROCK and, when i lived in pittsburgh, i loved to go down town on a wednesday night (or what have you) and get a ticket in the cheap seats with my wife and drink a couple of beers and watch a baseball game and i love wrestling (freestyle) and i love swimming (the only sport i was actually good at without having to work my ASS off)...i could go on and on, but you get the picture.
oh and, i played rugby in college...all four years...and you NEVER lead with your nose when you tackle (lest you get it smashed...i still have a deviated septum...i'm a slow learner and old habits die hard!) and you NEVER put your head in front of the man when you tackle (lest you end up with detached ears when his full weight comes down on top of your head while your skidding down the field on your ear).

Agreed!!! I go you one even further, I remember in the early 80's playing pop warner they actually taught us to hit with the crown of our helmets...I remember people getting knocked the fuck out all the time.
