i've always kind of wanted to headbutt somebody

i keep hoping for a legitimate reason to headbutt someone.

it's kind of extreme so i wouldn't bust it in a casual fight

i'm trying to think of some situation where it would be justified. like maybe if a guy threatened me with a weapon

if someone threatens you with a weapon you dont want to take your eyes off of them which you need to do to headbutt properly
another thing really common mistake, don't prejudge what you will do in a fight, take what's there

i have the same type of instinct going on but that is why i really really like chokes because they KO a guy and yet leave no lasting harm in anyway.. perfect for self defense.

I got headbutted once. the guy was drunk so I saw it coming and i steped into it. ( I prebutted his headbutt) It caused him to fall back. but again he was blind drunk and though he was tough. So if you are quick and not drunk you might be able to do it.

hey guys dont underestimate how 'sue happy' some people are .. also dont forget how many cameras are out there now and how many people might be watching.. not saying i dont agree w/ youguys but you dont want to get locked up or sued cause your emotions got the best of you.

btw you can hold a person in a choke hold for about 60 seconds after they are ko'd with no chance of permanent injury. the last person i know of to die from a choke was in chicago outside a club where bouncers held the choke until the cops came.. 12 mins later...

Why would you want to headbutt? theres so much more fun things to do, if its a round swing hip throw them(you gotta be really fast) if its a back swing you could do a key lock and go into an armbar to inflict more pain :-D

Im not a fan of headbutting cause it kinda hurts you as well...

not to KO someone but to open them up for something else

Only way i'd head butt someone is if they got me in a bear hug and they had steel forarms ;-)

stop trying to find the perfect time to do it, just walk up to someone you dislike and split his (or her) eyebrow open. man, they bleed like stuck pigs when you headbutt the eyebrow. nice.

I headbutted some asshole who was in my face one night and in my situation it worked perfectly. I think it is only effective in certain very close situations, and the key to it working in my oppinion would be to act fast, use your forhead, and hit their eye or nose.

Nah the best situation, which I have used myself is for the guy who always runs his mouth and tink he is hot shit and a great fighter and you know he isn't shit. These guys always want to get in your face and talk shit about what they are going to do to you and shit then BAM he catches a head butt to the face and a broken nose and you never have to throw a punch. You wouldn't believe priceless. I did this to a guy in my neighborhood who just got back from the Marines and just thought he was hot shit. Five minutes and a broken nose later he found out other wise. Coolest thing ever and that was 10 years ago and people in my neightborhod still talk about it to this day.
