This is ridiculous. Israel killed 3 (or whatever the number was, I dont keep track of latest killings) UN workers and went unpunished.

When Americans bombed Canadians, Americans got to apologize to Canada.

Not the case with israel. Clear case of negligence, abuse, and evil doing (hahah I sound like Bush ).

With the control of major financial infrastructure and the media, we are Jewish kosher.................. :(

Its funny how every channel on American TV is rigged and every newspaper is censored.

I cant beleive the Israel is god's chosen country.

Hmmm.... Hitler strived for total world domination, a new world order that would last 1000 years.
And in the end of the Bible it says that we will live for 1000 years of peace (perhaps in a super police state.)

Half Jewish Hitler and his jewish troops failed/............ Maybe sharon will succeed.

They receive billions in US tax dollars each year and have been committing atrocities that more-than-justify their enemies' hatred towards them, yet we support them.

What makes you think they aren't above our definition of the law?

It's a shame.

The aid as far as "given" matches egypt by treaty.

The loans are monies that must be spent on American corporations, so they are really just subsidies for US corporations. We do this with a lot of countries.

You know who the biggest buyer of US arms is since 1991? saudi Arabia. And a lot of it was subsidized by the US, just as we do for Israel.

The sum total of all monies allotted for Israel, whether loan, treaty payment etc. is much less than 1% of our annual budget. If you are genuinely concerned about the use of your tax dollars perhaps you could get equally fired up over the $900 billion that is collectively spent annually on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Matt,

The dozens of US taxpayer funded things I have mentioned over the past few months that bother me have all been met with the same response by you: "it is less than 1% of our annual budget."

Did it ever occur to you that the sum of all wastes of taxpayer dollars amount to much more than 1% of our annual budget?

Also, I have been fired up about that $900 billion since before I started paying taxes. If you have no problem with us spending 1% for "them," how does that help your credibility when you complain about $900 billion being spent for "us?"

Warik: "Damn... it cost me $47 to fill up my tank this week and I was using regular gas!"

Matt: "$47 for a tank of gas amounts to less than half a percent of your annual budget. Perhaps you should get equally fired up over the $2,000 you spent on your last computer."

Actually, 6 fixed costs add up to over 90% of the budget.

Social Security
Defense Budget
Medicare
Medicaid
Interest on the National Debt
Federal employee (inlcuding military) pensions

every other program *combined*, including all foregin aid in total, is less than 10%. They are just tertiary issues designed to distract you from the highway robbery going on in DC. It is working well with you.

All these things: aid to Israel, Egypt, whoever, it isn't shit. The drug war: it is nothing of significance cost wise. Anything else you may have mentioned outside the 6 items above, is insignificant budget-wise.

Yet people get so fired up over a few cents (relatively) to Israel, or to Saudi or whatever, while in reality, we are domestically pulling the kids out of college so grandma can have more cash.

Matt,

If you hadn't been reading over the past year or two, here's a little FYI:

I AM AGAINST NEARLY ALL USES OF OUR TAX MONEY - ESPECIALLY THE ONES YOU LISTED.

That doesn't make the money to Israel or all the other bullshit acceptable.

There is no such thing as insigificant when theft is concerned. Having 25 cents stolen from you may not hurt you as much as having your whole wallet taken, but it was your 25 cents and someone took it from you without your consent. That's theft - plain and simple. The government is the only body in the country that can get away with that and you rationalize it by "so what? there are other bigger problems than that."

Trust me - I'm not distracted. I've been praying for Social Security to collapse for years. Hopefully when that happens I'll have what? 15% of my former tax money at my disposal? Fuck man... I can buy 3 months worth of range balls with that.
