lol so true. people are always talking about the "good ole days "
the good ole days are always a historical representation loosely
based on factual events and firmly grounded in selective fantasy.
the "grass is greener" doesn't confine itself to the neighbors yard,
it has a temporal side too.
personally, i don't think EF is on a ski slope to oblivian or even
that it's "worse." i noticed a dramatic change and i wanted to
hear others perspective on the matter.
i posted my shoe thread in hopes of a major flaming and the response was a
bit lackluster lol. i do remember, a couple years back, posting a thread
during a particularly rough spot of depression and i was flooded with
pm's and all sorts of helpful replies. even during the wild west days
of merciless flaming and insults that would make pol pot cringe, if you
sincerely needed help, peeps were here for you. that includes you
stilleto, you were and still are decent folk....... with a side order of
hardcore bitch.
I remember comments like that all the time back in 2003.
And in 2004.
And in 2005.
Every time there's a mass exodus or even slow attrition of a few remarkable members, the remaining posters mourn their loss and reminisce about the good 'ol days. Then as enough time passes everyone forgets or they themselves move on.
I'm gonna leave EF ...should I make a memememe thread then not actually leave?
I think what was said is probably true about the seasonal difference
when the weather is cooler, more ppl inside online, warmer outside doing far more interesting crap
