is 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil enough

What does that have to do with freezing? If you put flax oil in the freezer it will freeze then you'd have to defrost it eveytime you use it. Sounds like a pain in the ass to me. Why not just follow my suggestion and buy it in seed form?

i dont think lipids freeze at freezer temps but the ultra low temps would slow degredation and stop bacterial growth.

That part is true but lipids do freeze. What do think happens when you put a stake in the freezer? The fatty tissue freezes along with the meat. It needs to be thawed out just the same.

Fishoil is more stable than Flaxseed oil. In capsules fishoils are much more expensive but much more stable.

What about fish oils?

I have a tablespoon every morning....

and JA, what if you refrigerate the Flaxseed oil? Does it last alittle longer that way?

problem I had when you refrigerate it is that it gets all clumpy. As long as you keep it in a dark cool place out of the sun it will not spoil for months or at least it hasn't for me.

nah, on ebay its about $3 for a 100 bottle of 1000mg pills. However fish oil only has Omega 3 in it. Flax has Omega 3, 6, 9 & flaxseed particulate

Flax oil goes bad after you open it. The best way is to buy in seed form and grind it up in a coffee grinder and have it with your oatmeal in the morning.

You sure about this? I've keep flax seed oil in the fridge for months at a time without it going bad. If it developed bacteria, as you suggest, I would think it would have some effect on my digestion.

Can you refer me to the source of this opinion? Thanks.

The source of the opinion is the guy who turned me on to buying it in seed form. He's a nutritionist and bodybuilder and knows what he's talking about. Here's a pic of him.
