iPhones in Canada

There have been lots of reports like that especially coming from the analyst from Bernstein who has had a sale on AAPL for about 6 months. Problem is actual earning numbers keep proving the projections wrong.

Europe sales are slowing because they are waiting for 3G. 3rd world sales of unlocked phones are screwing up the numbers as well. Every taxi driver and stripper in from Africa to Asia is dying to get their hands on an iPhone.

I could post up more articles, but the end question always comes down to:

Market Penetration.

This is easy to calculate. Do it on your own. I can easily count all those who have ipods around me. I know maybe 1 iphone owner for like every 50 cell phone owners around me. I'm sure it's similar around you too (Unless you live in sunnyvale, ca).

Plus Iphone is a loss for Apple btw. The real revenue is in the high cell phone prices. So if people want those high bills - hey, go ahead.

Who gives a fuck about the iPhone ? Rogers sucks balls big time and their phones are locked anyway. iPhone = MySpace kids.

YEah - they have captured 20% of the smartphone market in less than 1 yrs time. That is the only penetration number you will need.

Seriously I wish I was 18yr old again so I could understand all this hype srurrounding the iPhone....

Have you used one? They are pretty cool. iTouch as well.

Yes and seriously I didnt do shit to me. My Blackberry 8830 does everything it does and more (exchange server, works on CDMA and GSM networks) ...... and costed 1/3. Again, I could see the "cool factor" for kids in need for approval from peers but that aint my case lol

i have only seen one around these parts. it is a neat concept and all but many people already flocked to get video ipods b4 the iphone. it would be a waste for me.

I love my iphone and when I added it to my current ATT service it was an additional $20 a month which is actually A LOT less then it would have been to switch to a Blackberry (which was the same $$ as the iphone).

I have used blackberry for about 4 yrs now. Got my wife the iPhone and am always playing on it when home. Can't wait for the 3g and exchange - I will be migrating that direction.

Really ? The iPhone is like $400 for the 8GB version through ATT I believe. You can get a Blackberry (Pearl, Curve, 8830) for under $150. Must be cause ATT is trying to push their iPhone sales big time...
