Dam....I hate psychology.

The point is that some people are more or less anxious than others. Some people live their lives in anxiety and some people almost never feel fear. Sociopathy is tied into the far end of the scale where you don't really feel any fear and end up in dangerous situations just to feel alive.

Human behavior also modulates brain dopamine levels (e.g. drugs, sexual activity, etc) just like pharmaceutical drugs. Take the case of hypersexuality noted in some Parkinson's disease patients taking dopaminergic drugs.In those patients, you remove the drugs and the hypersexuality goes away.You lessen the dose of the drugs, the hypersexuality dampens.Interesting phenomenon.I think that in order for the Crocodile hunter to have been able to do what he does he initially had some fears to overcome and then keep doing what he did to maintain and strengthen his neural pathways. Indeed, reportedly, "Irwin grew up around crocodiles, snakes and other animals at his parents' Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park and had been handling such creatures since he was a child." And any genetic biological predisposition he had, just made it easier. Some people have to work harder at it than others.
