Instructions for glute shots

I've been doing nothing but quad shots for months and the scar tissue I've built up has become too much. So, I'm thinking about doing a glute shot. Now, I got some questions about glute injections. Do you stand when you inject or sit? Where in the quad do you inject? Have you ever heard of anyone hitting their sciatic nerve? Help is appreciated.

seated, so the muscle is relaxed
upper outer glute area, I think spotinjections.com has some pics
should never hit the sciatic nerve...which is on the inner glute are.

I too love quads, never had any problems, but also include glutes in my rotation. I use 25 ga. 1-1/2" needle.

Thanks, bro.

I personally find the 25 gauge to small for oils and and prefer to shoot with a 22-23 guage as it doesn't hurt any more than a 25 going in (it's just mental looking at the pin) and I tend to get a lot steadier injection as I don't have to push as hard so less wiggling and the injection seems to go much smoother!!

I'd definitely go with a 23g 1.5" for glutes, or 22g if you can't get 23's. A 25g is too small and will take forever to inject, and when doing glutes the longer it takes the more likely you'll start to shake and move about causing additional scar tissue, not to mention a little more pain. I also prefer to stand when doing glutes. 25g 1" needles are great for shoulders or quads.

Yeah, I do nothing but Glutes (delts twice a month maybe), and I always use 22GA 1.5"...

I have been sticking ED for the past 14 weeks Glutes only, and no probs...rotate rotate, rotate

I used to use 23 and then switched to 25 but am going to switch back to 23.
Using a 25 takes too long and it's hard to keep your torso turned for that long without cramping or becoming uncomfortable.

Earlier, I did my first glute shot and it was really easy. In fact, it was probably the most pain free shot I've ever done. If the rest of them go like that, I'm sold on glute shots for life.
