Injury Slight Torn Bicep- Suggestions?

You can find an active release specialist in your area using this site:

http://www.activerelease.com/

When I checked with a local doc, the rates were about $40 per visit. It may not work for you, but at that price, it's definitely worth trying it before going for surgery.

I don't know if it warrants surgery , Its not black&blue like some of the pictures ive seen but I am no doc , and I will see the guy again on Monday and have him take a good look at it. Thanks for the info guys, Does running test have anything to do with the healing process? Ill check out the site though, thanks guys again.. *Crosses fingers it will heal on its own*

it will heal on its own but it will heal with scar tissue. the active release will help break down the scar tissue. more scar tissue means more dysfunction and pain

Bro if you have a true tear, all the gear and gh in the world will not help you recover any quicker. I tore a pec muscle years ago and in doing so also blew out half my bicep. You need to find out what type of tear you have. A tear in the muscle fiber itself will heal, if you allow it to. A tendon tear will require surgery to correct. If you try to come back to quick, like I did, you will tear it again and again and loose more time pissing around than if you woul have just rested anyway. If you had no bleeding / bruising it probably was not a major injury. Get an MRI just in case. Rest it for a week or so and see what happens then. It's not that long of a time in the grand scheme of things. Using gear now will mask the problem, give you a false sense that it is OK and then you will really hurt yourself.
