I buy flavorless powder creatine, gatorade, and grape fruit juice. One tablespoon is equal to 5 grams of creatine. Keep in mind, I absolutely hate drinking mixes.
Then I take a medium amount of gatorade, enough to keep my mouth from drying and hold it in my mouth. No, I'm not talking about a big gulp. Now that the gatorade (other favorable drinks apply) is in my mouth, I take a spoon full of 5 grams of creatine and place it in my mouth and immediately grab my gatorade and use another medium amount to help swallow it.
At this point, because I know the gatorade did not supply enough carbohydrates for insulin transport, this is where my grape juice comes into play. Usually I'll drink one cup.
Ultimately, I know no creatine is left at the bottom of my shaker, I really didn't taste anything that was too bad, I felt the powder in my mouth for 3 seconds, and I received my preference of carbs.
