Infant's death at Maimonides Hospital linked to circumcision

I was tested for it (cause of my cats) before I was diagnosed with Lyme.
Here in Canada, preggies are tested if they have cats, it's automatic.

So someone could have toxi, hsv-2 and Rubella, etc and not even know it so these babies can be infected. Crazy!

You're over simplifying things.

Baby doesnt automatically get herp2 just because mom gets it. Vertical transmission is quite rare. It's much more of a problem during vaginal delivery where an infant travels through a birth canal with an active outbreak.

And even with a cat in the house, prevelance is still low enough that you can cause harm by ordering toxo screening on everyone.

Remember, more tests don't mean better care!

lol, thats the salami shit I couldnt think of the name for.

Man, I ate like 3 containers of Chiobani today and my gas is friggin awful. Poor smurf.

I love that stuff. Blood Orange is my favorite. Target had them for $1.22, so I bought 20 last night.

Our grocery store had them for 80 cents. I just finished a blood orange. It was pretty good. I was surprised by the apple cinnamon. Thought it would be nasty. Was pretty tasty.

Annie has some explaining to do!

jk

lol

This guy specifically needs to be banned from performing mezizah.

Mezizah was done back in biblical times for sanitary purposes. It obviously doesn't make sense for that purpose now, but it's still practiced by some out of tradition.

Fortunately, this isn't something most Jews or even most orthodox Jews participate in. Even many orthodox Jews have both ethical and health-related problems with mezizah. It's really only intensely strict orthodox Jews that still do so.

If I were actually Jewish, I'd be against it altogether in favor of the glass tube they can use instead, but at the very very least they clearly need to have the rabbis performing mezizah tested regularly. Ew.

Poor baby(ies).
