For you or I, or about 90+% of the population yes. But these folks dont feel like it's torture. in fact, they say they were born this way (asexual) and they literally dont feel sexual in any way shape or form. it's not that they are resisting urges, they say they just dont HAVE the urges that most people do.

Physical intimacy does not always = sex.

Just think about any time you have ever had sex with a body that you shared NO INTIMACY with, it was "just sex." Maybe you didn't even know their names, didn't care to know. I am not saying you did, but there are many who do.

Let's remove the moral aspect of sex and just talk about it in every other way. If it is 100% possible to be completely non-intimate with someone you have/are having sex with then the reverse would also be true, that you could be VERY INTIMATE with someone and NOT have sex.

Probably not going to happen. I'm fiercely independant and always have been, my parents gave up at a young age trying to make me do things. The fastest way to get me to not do something for you is to try and force me to do it even if it's something I otherwise want to do. I very quickly cut anyone out of my life who tries to run it for me.

I abhor control-freaks (my ex was one). Since I treat others as I wish to be treated I don't control anyone. Hell, I wanted a mate NOT another child. And even one's child can only be "controlled" but for so long as you are living testament, eh?
