I'm required to buy a Laptop for MBA school, which is best?

HP Pavilion zd8000 widescreen this thing hauls ass i dont like the toshibas. mine also has a numeric pad on the side.

this week office depot has a deal where you can get a compaq for 500 after the rebates. pretty good price if you ask me

How much does the Pavilion weigh Wootoom if you don't mind me asking? I just spoke to a friend of mine about the Pavilion and this is what he had to say about it:

""No Pavilians suck. They suffer from the same problem most package computers do. They cost heaps, have crap you don't want pre packaged and if you want to upgrade them you have to spend twice as much if you can actually upgrade them. Do yourself a favor and go to a computer shop and get a system custom built. Will be cheaper and the system will be better.""

wtf??????????? they are pretty heavy but its got everything in it. how could you possibly say this thing sucks. man i respect peoples opinions but whoever says this is junk has a screw loose.

I didn't say it. A guy I know uses it and those were his words.

Woot. don't get upset with me, I have never used that kind of laptop and I respect your opinion on it. I am simply posting someone else's opinion on it.

The important thing to keep in mind is that different people have different experiences with the same notebooks.

if you go with dell, go into google and type in "dell coupons" or "Dell Deals" and search.

i did that in google th eday i bought mine, and in the "coupon" thing, i typed in the code i found on google, and i saved 500 bucks off my computer. no joke

For what your going to use it for all of the above recs seem fine....

If you want super-high-end stuff...I would agree with the user that mentioned Alienware and if it was me I would be a Sager.

Alienware and sager are both gaming high end machine. Not typically what you need for school.
