I didnt read anything past what I have bolded. She's way off if she thinks this approach will end in anything other than them breaking up. She is frankly very foolish if she thinks she can control the behavior of another person, let alone someone she's just been dating for 6 months. she's in for a rude awakening because he is either going to tell her to take a fucking hike for even suggesting the ultimatum, or, he will lie and say he is giving up weed, but then go behind her back to smoke up.

So true. An addict will choose their drug over anything. He might stop for awhile, but then go on. If she is already thinking that he smokes too much, then it is just a matter of time before she reaches her own conclusion.
