What is it going to take, about two years, three? Will you have a bachelor's degree when you are done? I'm still debating. I just would feel, no offense, but, I think I'd feel gay being the only guy in the class with 20 women or so. Kinda challenge my man hood. I don't know if I can handle that.

It's an A.A. Not that I really care about an A.A. (I've got a B.A., B.S., and M.B.A. already) but completion of an entire program or cirriculum looks better on a resume. It is not a 4-year degree but apparently the industry would like it to become one.

I'm not out at school. I've told no one. Here, in Las Vegas, most of the women in the program are cocktail waitresses on the strip. Anyway, I've been hit on "officially" three times. Unofficially, i.e. flirting, happens on an everyday basis.

All the girls want to sit by me. They invite me to lunch. They bring me food in the mornings. Etc. However, I'm not interested and stay to myself. They think I'm shy and aloof and apparently, that's very sexy.

To answer your specific question, it is a 3-year program. However, because of my previous college work, I was able to knock off 1/2 the program. Hence, unless there's a problem (e.g. my speeds don't increase at a normal rate), I'll finish the program in 18 months total.

BTW: If becoming a court reporter causes you conflict with your masculinity, you've got bigger issues. ;)

Congratulations May, even though I lack "critical reasoning skills.":bawling:

At least I made your "to do" list....:D

If you go for it, let me know. I might be able to offer some advice to help you mitigate your tuition, especially if you've already got a bunch of college work done.

Crazy,

I really think you should double-check that in AZ, court reporting is a Bachelor's Degree. I think you are very much mistaken. If it is, please let me know which school offers it as a B.A.

Also, you don't have to wait to start theory. You start into it right away as long as you can type at least 40 wpm.

California has junior college that offer the program. Here in Nevada, there are no public schools that offer it. Hence, the tuition for the entire program is about $32,000! But, like I said, you've probably got a lot of work completed already.

Good luck!

Crazy,
First of all, the link didn't work. Second, I have never heard of a Bachelor of Applied Science. It sounds like a bogus degree to me (but I could be wrong).

As I remember, your dad owns an agency. Be sure to ask him about this! He should definitely know.
