Idiots in the Gym

Scotsman said:
Just be yourself. Don't try to project something you're not. Don't be afraid to ask someone if you are doing something wrong (just try to make sure that person knows what they are doing).

Oh and fullest props for using free weights, so many people are afraid of them.

Thank you so much Scotsman! I am the queen of being myself, lol so no problem there. I used to see myself as a 300 lb girl trapped in a skinny suit with a nice tan. I'm still wrapping my mind around this new body and it's a struggle so I'm still pretty humble.

Thanks! I'll let you know how it goes. I'll try not to trip over a gallon jug of water in there!

Humble is always good, but don't be afraid to be proud of your accomplishments either.

Tripping over a water bottle isn't that bad everyone goofs like that. Just don't walk around with your arms way out to the sides in a shirt that's 3 sizes too small and then wonder why people laugh. :)

Funny thing though is I go to the gym usually at 7AM or so and rarely see anyone do that, all the regulars seem to be overly chest focused though.

Most people doing that sort of stuff I see once then their gone, some people should really invest the time to learn how to lift properly.

ha ha ..i love these stories

the best one for me this week was

some dude working out in dress up pants and shirt ..thank god he took his tie off

You got to give him some credit though. He did not let the fact that he forgot his gymbag at home deter his effort to go to the gym.

The whole "no excuses" thing works for me...but not if I've forgotten my clothes! LOL.

lol

he had a tanktop underneath so he could've taken off his shirt at least lol
ohh and btw its a 24hr gym he lives in the area no excuses

he kept looking in the mirror lol probably thought he was the shit

makes me laugh

Some of the dumbest shit ever on this thread. I once saw a guy doing barbell shrugs while talking on a cell phone. He had is head cocked to one side with the phone resting on his shoulder. That cant be good for your posture.

Just remember...

...If you don't see an idiot in the gym, you ARE the idiot.

:)

I'm the idiot in my gym. I've done so many stupid things it ain't even funny...lol

I've been going to public gyms for over 30 years now. I love it at 4am when there's no one there to annoy me or make me lose concentration by doing stupid stuff.
