i have two pairs, pink and black and i wear them with socks all the time....in public, i don't care.

i have to hide em when my one of my girlfriends comes over or she'll throw them away. I've never met a shoe lover that hated a particular pair of shoes like she does crocs.not kidding.

I have 2 pairs.... black pair and dark blue pair, sometimes even wear them to work(when sick mostly), don't give a fuck if people like them or not, when wearing to work I use sock because the A'C at the office is always blasted, men can use them without looking gay.... u just need to pick the right ones, examples:
