I thought what I was doing is good. Fewer calories is ideal I thought?

I'm awaiting JKurz1's response, he seems to be the go to guy in terms of dieting. But I'll take suggestions from anyone.

too much of a caloric deficit will burn muscle and lower the metabolic rate. I would guess that you will only burn 50% more fat on a severely restricted diet than you would on a regular low calorie diet. BUt on the super restricted diet you'll burn alot more muscle and your metabolism will slow down.

You are going to have to eat more than veggies and bagels. Some how you need to start eating more MEAT.
The main goal for you is to get you to eat every 2-3 hours and hit cardio when you role out of bed in the morning!

I ate almost the same exact way you did and it turned out to be a knightmare for me I only wish I had know about this site back then. Now with the help here I am a ripped 200lbs 6 pac and all, and lovin it.

Thats the thing, I'm not really sure of how much to eat, and what to eat. That is why I am hoping JKurz1 sets me up on a good diet plan and cwick0 sets me up on a good lifting plan. I'm a noobie to all this and much of what I read on this forum doesn't really make any sense to me. But I try and pick up as much as I can.

I understand that I started eating lean ham today. I didn't want to eat turkey or anything because they don't have product labels that tell how much of calories, fat, sodium, etc... they contain.

So far this is what I will do:
right after I get up, I will walk for like 30-60 min
then come home and eat

I was reading the thread you linked and I see our ways were very similar. I really don't want to go on steriods or anything like that. My primary goal is to lose weight, but I also want to bulk up and look well rounded.

This explains why I feel light headed everyday and why my eyes shake and I am doing lifting

So far I understand that I have to eat things like lean ham and turkey, eggs, fish, chicken breasts, the vegetables I am eating, oatmeal, etc.... However, what I am worried about is that I might overeat, which will cause me to gain wait again. I'm very nervous about eating anything that has fats and how. I just know I'm going to eat too much of it and gain weight again.

I'm just scared that what I eat, will make me fatter and kill everything I have worked for so hard.

TRY TO WAIT AN HOUR BEFORE YOU EAT. Maybe take a shower or something to kill this hour. You should notice a big difference in a month.

Light headed ness is a very bad sign. Do you have hunger? I lost over 10" on my waist w/o hunger and i ate 'shit' the whole time. Pasta-roni, Ravioli, low fat pizza, low fat ice cream, 1% milk. My fat/protein/carb breakdown was about 30/15/55, but i did fine because i knew my base metabolic rate (around 3600/day) and i knew roughly how many calories i burned in cardio (about 1200/hr) so i did 5hrs cardio a week and ate 3000 calories a day. I didn't have hunger and (at first at least) i was losing 1/2" on my waist a week. But sadly that diet doesn't work taht well anymore and i need something else.

My point is you don't need to be an extremist to lose weight. I have met other people who lost 50+ lbs on a more or less non-restrictive diet filled with 'crap' and 'shit', they just made sure at the end of the day that they burned more calories than they ate. I made sure i burned on average 4300 a day and ate 3000, and i lost weight just fine doing that. I had no hunger, and virtually no deprivation feelings. If i felt deprived i just ate what i wanted, i found as long as i ate under 1300 calories a day of pizza or hamburgers i could still keep my daily calories at/near 3000 w/o any problems. Not only that but this diet made me feel better. I didn't sweat as much, and i felt like i had more energy.

Plus with your bodyfat percentage (probably 60% or so) your body will respond to dieting better. Many of the guys here are at 10% or less, a body at 10% responds to dieting differently than a body at 60%. So their advice about counting every calories, going deep into ketosis, never cheating, etc may be excessive for you.

Yeah bro, you need to be eating more. You can only loose so much fat. Loosing fat and weight are 2 seperate things. Also, if you are lifting weights after eating only vegtables and a bagel, you aren't giving your body much to work with. Try to move back your lifting routine to before the last meal or 2 of the day (should eat small, 6 times a day) and go from there.
