I was 403lbs, now I am 337lbs, but I need some serious help...

1. do cardio as soon as you finish lifting, EAT AFTER CARDIO NOT LIFTING!

2. Im not sure it is necessary to make each rep last for 6 seconds, i think that could be cut in half, however, it is good that you can do that. I dont stand a chance for that with some of the weights im hitting. (did 5x5 for 405 yesterday on flat bench)

3. You dont need to lift more than 4-5 days per week, DEPENDING ON YOUR SPLITS.

4. sorry for the slow response. It is a late night in the office trying to figure out mistakes in programing (SAS). Fucking statistics meeting in the morning with my research group.

wow i guess jkurz took over this forum in my absense where i went over to c and c and training forum. im back on ckd and wow it sucks, although i like ranch dressing this time around that helps me get some things down.

I didn't "take over for anyone"..........Mr.X seems to be MIA and there obviously is a lack of Diet mods, so I'm doing my best to help out whomever I can.....

Hey bro, using my suggestions, tell me what you have and what times you can eat........we need to start hitting light cardio (maybe some incline walking) for a good 30 minutes FIRST THING IN THE AM..........Also, this is against my theories, but it will help you out - no eating after you last planned meal. No food within 1-2 hours before bed. AND ABSOLUTELY NO SNACKING! Remember - STAY STRICT FOR JUST 8 WEEKS AND I PROMISE YOU WILL BE A NEW MAN..........

sorry Jkurz but i dont know who Mr. X is, however, you can hold your own on discussing diet ideas and theoreis.

My apoligizes i didnt know who Mr. X is. If i recall i may have seen him once or twice in the last several months, but not for sure. If he is a diet guru too, then props to him. I just know jkurz knows a little bit about a strict diet.

Props brather - k'd ya for the generous remarks.......now, if I could only get as strong as your ass, I'd be ok.....MY diet will have to change BIG TIME to do that, but I may be willing to improvise......hey, PM me on your recent back regimine....I need a change for tonight........

BTW - Mr. X is suppose to be helping people out on this board, as he is a mod, guess I have to go plat to take over that role........we'll see what the future holds/........

we need to start this good bro off on natural peanut butter, chicken breast, good cheeses, a good protien shake...like muscle milk. a ckd would be perfect for this dude!!!

Basically I will give you a run down of my day excluding my one class I am taking since that is ending soon (next week).

Typical day in my life:
Get up at 10am, shower, etc... for about 30 min
Then I make myself a large plate of frozen vegetables (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower) then I microwave that, and sit down at the computer and eat the plate of vegetables along with a bagel and diet ice tea (dropped soda completely) and take my diet supplement and Xenadryne EFX
Once I finish this, I check my email, go on AIM (trillian) for like 15 min and read the tech and car news for the day
I start lifting somewhere between 11:30 and noon. I generally lift for about 1.5-2 hours then I rest for a bit because I'm really worn out.

Then I eat another large bowl of vegetables with a bagel and I take Xenadryine again.

A little later in the afternoon, I walk, generally for about 6 miles. Some days I walk on the treadmill and some days I walk on my set path outside (while listening to music)

When I finish this, I generally rest for about 30 min to an hour by watching TV and/or going online. After this I read and/or study for about 1-2 hours. Then I eat my same meal again (bagel and vegetables). Then I generally shower, go back on the computer and stay on there for about another hour or two while watching TV. Then I go to bed anywhere between 2-4am and get up and do the same thing all over again.

This is basically exactly what I do excluding going to class, and any other minor things that aren't important. I also eat snacks like apples, oranges, peaches, watermelon, blueberries during the day. I have nothing set really in terms of snacks but I try to fill myself with things I deem as healthy.

But look at it this way, in about a week, I will be finished with my class, and basically I will have 6 weeks completely free to dedicate my life to this goal. I'm willing to do almost anything. Imagine me being a clean slate and you have the ability to control my life in everyway. I'd try my best to follow any set routine. I canceled all my summer plans. No vacations, partying, or drinking. The only thing I will really be doing to some swimming, fishing and target shooting.

I want to dedicate my next 6 weeks to a hard routine that will help me. I plan to continue doing a lesser version of this once my fall semester starts. I even took a summer class to reduce my workload in the fall to give me more time to getting back into shape.

I can eat, exercise, or do whatever you tell me to. I am a clean slate, eager to get back into shape and fit in with society. I’ll buy the foods I am told and follow what needs to be done. I am so ready to do this.

I'm so set on doing this right now, I almost can't wait to get started

you need ALOT more fats and protiens!!! i bet your taking in 1000 calories or less

I thought what I was doing is good. Fewer calories is ideal I thought?

I'm awaiting JKurz1's response, he seems to be the go to guy in terms of dieting. But I'll take suggestions from anyone.
