I want to start a diet

I want to start a diet or more less eat better. It seems like lately all ive been eating is what ever I can find mainly fast foods or frozen dinners or crap like that. Ive been reading about this CKD diet and it sounds like somthing I might like to try. The problem is I dont know how to get started.
I am about 218 pounds at around 23% B/F
22 years old and work out about 3 time a week.
 
Go to the diet board and do some research. A lot of diets out there. The best are 6-8 small meals per day to keep metabolism up and higher protein intake (220 grams and up per day). Keep refined sugars to a minimum and stay away from unhealthy fats (butter, hydrogenized fats, etc) and eat good fats such as fats in salmon, nuts, flax seed. A good diet log helps or get some software that logs your calories, protein, etc. www.crosstrainer.ca is one I used and it is very nice. There are others on download.com - good luck, Geoff
