This overblown nonsense won't stop until the next flavor of the month comes up. CNN, and the rest of the media, reports flashy stories to get people to read and watch, thereby generating revenue.

Little girls taking 200mg of A-Bombs every 3 hours and growing big cocks is an "eye catcher" and will be reported 10x more than the epedemic of kids fucking, drinking and dropping acid...unless a famous kid gets caught doing it and/or killing a busload of nuns while under the influence.

Has there ever been a grassroots backlash against the media that has halted the sensationalistic mess the media has become on ANY issue? If it didn't happen with OJ, it isn't going to happen with gear - the storm just has to pass.

All we can do is fight the good fight - and that is what Quad is trying to do. K to you for the effort.

I did go off track to make a point. I am not raciest in the least..if I do not like ya it's because yer an asshole! My point was lets look at real threats. Its so easy to smuggle across the border a chemical weapon or in a vehical a nuclear device. We just need to look at the imporatant issuesnot a baseball players drug use. Who cares.

the way steroids are looked at by the US govt makes me really glad I am a canadian, everyones attitudes tend to be much more liberal about stuff like that, so using them doesnt make me a social outcast who could do time for personal use.
We tend to follow the US in most things they do, this is one thing that I really hope we do not follow suit

You are right Need! Indeed Canada is more relaxed about this stuiff including weed. BC is almost like amsterdam in that regard. I hope it stays more liberal wher you are as well.

Couple of other things:
-You will get a response. It will be from one of the interns. The media could care less.
-The huge investigation into steroids started in 1997 for those of you who are blaming this on Bush.
-The economy before our current administration was growing as mentioned. That was due in large part to dotcommers. For those of you that work in the securities industry what I say next is no surprise. It wasn't going to last. It was a wave based on earnings with no cash behind it. The crash was coming. Creative accounting was at an alltime high.
-Terrorism. Clinton was waiting for a call to come in that would tell him when they had located Osama Bin Laden. When the phone rang he sat and stared at it. He didn't answer it. He waited 20 minutes. The guy that carried the Football wrote of it in a book. In that time Bin Laden was tipped off. When Clinton gave the go ahead it was too late.
On the other hand:
-I dispise the way our current adminstration is trying to control our freedom of speach. Howard Stern is a good example of this.
-I am sick over the environmental issues also. The planet is already at the point of no return. The though of having children scares me. What are we bring them into?

I write these letters all the time..each time i see a stupid news story. I already have a prepared letter waiting. Diferent ones for diferent storys. What i ussualy get back is a standard. Bulshit type letter jsut as i do from congressmen. I include in my letter. "if youa re to send me a pre-fabricated" respons eplease save yourself the tiem and trees to do so. Just note tha ti will be workign against you and mobilize others to either boycot you or vote against you. (dependign on if it s gov official or news media etc) You realy do not need to type shit to these people. They could give a 2 fucks about your opppinion or the real issues. Nor the issue they are reporting on as a matter of fact. I often make 2 sentance letters. YOur story/ possition disgusts me. If you do not change it /or vote a certain way. please note i will be voting against you, and will campaign strenuously with all resources available to make sure you are defeated! Please do not respond with an rubish as it will be discarded. I am awaiting a Yes or NO anwser on your future vote etc.
These people are like dogs. Talk to them too much they dont get th epoint. Scream SIt or Stop authoritavely abd with an incentive like a dog treat or a vot eand they lay down.
