lol at this thread.............dude, you know how to lose muscle, why embarrass yourself by posting it on a thread...........reduce protein, reduce cals, up the cardio, hit the weights 3x week max...........don't let me see your ass in one of those queer ass catalogs selling thongs that I (for some reason) keep getting...........

Common, everybody knows you love getting those mags in the mail.
lol

Frank Sepe has just put out a new fitness book, probably a lot of good tips in it on how to be "un big" just sorry to hear that the world is coming to this, but respect you for doing what you gotta do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

who are you going to be working for? Ive worked for a&f and guess and they liked me almost just the size that i am (5'11" 205 6%bf)

Anyhoo, i wound say just keep the weight on the uperbody the same, reduce weight on your lower body, its all about progressive resistance

Actually, this is the reason I hope the show that I was helping to find guys for gets made, and goes over well. It would help to make it so that guys who have some good quality size on them can make some really good money in acting, modeling, etc. without going into porn. For a short time, in the 80s, there was a pretty good amount of bodybuilders on TV, in movies, and in print, but that has changed, with a few exceptions (have noticed that Stargate SG-1, tends to use a lot of bodybuilders in their episodes, and I recently saw a Vicks vapor rub commercial with a guy with pretty good size arms). Hopefully, the pendullum will swing back towards a more muscular look for guys. Unfortunately, at this point, I've done all I can, and now it is up to the powers that be to make it happen.

The problem is that being bigger often makes clothing *less* flattering. [Current Dior mastermind] Hedi Slimane himself said that muscular guys look better without clothes, and skinnier guys with them on. Also note that when he says "muscular," he doesn't mean VERY muscular, as he has remarked that such people look like "caricatures." I'm guessing 44" chest tops, if even that (probably more like a 42). If you'll notice, the bigger models, such as those for Abercrombie (ugh), are usually shirtless in the ads.

To me, 42" is the ideal--you don't look silly in clothes but, if you're cut and well-proportioned, you look better than 99.9% of the population, as well as having the body that most women find ideal (if you care, and most of us do, at least to one degree or another).

You shouldn't judge this guy just because he has different goals than you. As long as he remains healthy, I see no problems. If you're getting huge for any of these reasons:

1. You think girls like it.
2. You want to appear as badass as possible.
3. You can't seem to get "big enough."

You might be dealing with insecurity.

Have you thought of fitness modeling? You wouldn't have to loose muscle. You could keep what you've worked hard to acheive and keep gaining.

*EDIT* just noticed that mikediesel already mentioned it.

By this boards standards I'm not big at all. 6ft, 9%, 185lbs. However after going to a few modeling casting calls, the consensus was I'm to thick.

Most models have no quads/hams/calfs/ass. However I train my legs just like my upper body, hard and heavy. And, I have well proportioned / defined legs. Actually my entire physique is well proportioned and defined.

They said at my height I should be 165lbs. Well that isn't gonna happen, but I'd like to loose a few %'s of bf. Also I need to loose some size on my arms/legs. I would also like to achieve a more seperated/striated muscle look all over my body

So my question is, how do I loose a little bit of size and achieve a more striated seperated look in the muscles. Generally when I lift my poundages go up each week for each muscle group. Should I just keep the poundages the same?? Should I do more sets at lighter weights and higher reps?----I was under the impression that was a myth, because folks like Ronnie train Heavy weights with reps varying from 2-14.

So to sum it up, Im a little too muscular in the upperbody and in the legs. I'd like to get cut up a bit more and LOOSE some size.

I think I should just keep the lbs the same at the gym each week, and concentrate on ultra perfect form while flexing extremely hard during the movement.

what yall think?

Do some homework on T3 and start doing endurance training/races with the same determination you bring to weight training. It's actually much harder - and a bigger challenge. I'm far more impressed by someone running a marathon in 3:30 than benching their body weight (body weight is easy).

Start setting different PRs - in the mile, 3 mile/5k, 6 mile/10k, half marathon, marathon, or duathlon/triathlons.

This way getting down to an ideal weight will be done in a way that is not only fun and challenging, but will actually make you a healthier and live longer.
