I love working out and all but...

Squats = irreplaceable core excercise

I've never puked after leg presses or leg extensions.....

squats, now that's a different story. :D

after an intense leg day, the next morning the last inch to sit on the toilet is murder!!!

LOL at all the bitches in here.

Squats is no good for me. I have long limbs and a short torsoe, which makes squatting a pain in the back, litterally.

And cardio after leg workouts flushes out the toxic from your system and speeds up recovery.

It has to do with more then just the poundages. Squats work the way they do because of the CNS stress they impose on the body, this in turn stimulates an adaptive response to a much higher degree then any leg press movement. I'm sure you already know though.

I understand the CNS response from the compound movements. I'm a powerlifter, but I still think heavy leg presses isolate your quads so much more that it's really worth it to at least incorporate them in to your leg training.

The only thing that sucks is that when you are doing as many plates as the leg press rack can hold (900lbs) and getting aggrevated because its not enough weight anymore. I do that after I've done my squat workout and it's kinda disappointing.

Wish everyone would say "When you can push 1,000+ on legpress you are rocking thangs."

Well, Viper.......I think you need to have the gym buy those 100lbs plates so that you can load up in excess of 1,000lbs.

Trust me, bro......when you can push 1,000+ w/ full RoM for reps, that's workin' thangs. I don't care if you squat or not, 1,000lbs is 1,000lbs.....that's real shit.
