HELP!! I have a paper due in my social studies class. I am 17 and new to the internet world.
My parents did not want me to be exposed to the internet or video games so this is all new to me. But I got a full ride to Univ Oklahoma for football next year and they bought me a new Dell laptop for Christmas to take with me. I've let it sit around because I've been real busy with my friends and working out and girls and stuff, just didnt have time to turn this thing on. Too many fun distractions. So yeah, I am a jock.
But now I have this paper due in my sociology class about different groups.
I was going to compare the way jocks like me interact in the world with like emo kids and their social life.
The problem is that like six other kids are going to write about emo kids and so I had to think about something else.
I see alot of emo kids out and about, but I dont see many of people like you outside.
So I want to uncover the secret life of the internet peoples. Like when Geraldo went into the subway tunnels in search of the mole people.
I am sure I will get an A on this paper!
So, I noticed alot of you have in your profile the phrase. "I LOVE hanging out at Elitefitness!"
It is somewhat shocking to me, not living online at all for all of my life that I see that statement.
Do you think you are actually hanging out while you are alone in front of a computer? I mean I am putting off hanging out with Stephanie so I can research this paper and I am just sitting in front of a computer right now.
Definitely not hanging out.
Do you replace real interaction with the computer?
Does the computer make you feel better?
If you did not have a computer, what would you do with your time?
Do you have any hobbies besides the computer?
Have you ever been depressed or an emo kid?
If not, are you more or less social than an emo kid?
