I have a question about Jury Duty?!

If it's a big city - just ignore it. I've never ever seen anyone charged with missing jury duty. Esp given how easy it is to get out. You can always just say u didn't get it

Thats what I did. I got a jury duty notice, 1st it wanted me to fill out something and send it in.....I ignored it.....then They sent me a second one...ignored that too. If I remember right it even said if I dont show they can issue a warrent....never responded. That was last year, never heard from them again. They cant prove that you received the letter in the mail....its not certified. Fug that....last time I was selected as a juror for a weeks long case....was an interesting experience...just once though. Sucked ass missing that amount of work to catch up on.

I have a scheduled plane ticket that I bought last week for November 20th. Well fuck me running if I didn't just get a jury summins yesterday in the mail for November 20th. is this a viable excuse to get out of this shit?

Here in Ky. the judge would excuse you for that, for sure. Call the judge's secretary.
